U.N. Officially Takes over Peacekeeping Operations in C. Africa

A new U.N. mission on Monday officially takes charge of peacekeeping operations in the Central African Republic, tasked with ending ethnic and religious bloodshed and helping to bring political stability.

U.N. Provides Aid for Record 4.1 Million in Syria

The World Food Program said on Tuesday that it provided food to a record 4.1 million people inside Syria last month.
