indeed. the lebanese government is sdly too corrupt and paralyzed by foreign interests who want us to remain weak, that it cannot be relied on for defense. idealists would say no weapons should be outside of state control, ok, but as a realist, if my army cannot be equipped with anything to counter israel, than i need some other solution.

lol narrow minds. syria has been rebuilding its entire defense capabilities to be able to counter israel.
20 years ago syria could not stand a minute in front of israel's air supremacy and massive firepower. now, they can rain hell on israel after having developed the technology and industry to produce massive numbers of missiles. this is just one example and there are many many aspects of the syrian army which have evolved in the last decades. all this while contributing to make HA a nightmare for israel.
the war is not won by idiots who act rashly upon emotions, they are won by people who think strategy over decades, with a vision into the next century.
