guerillas have codes too, at least hezbollah does, a clear modus operandi and organization, and they never attack civilians for instance... the difference is elwhere
armies have barracks, official defense positions, command is centralized and decision-making is always subject to political "akhd w 3ata"...
soldiers are all known and localized, wear uniforms, and many do it "by career" more than by conviction and for an ideal, yet you cant "put them aside" in a regular army, whereas here in HA's case, it is extremely selective. it's not by mistake that only 1000 men fought the 2006 war, they could have sent 50,000 easy, but in these cases more is less. ;)
