‘Disgust’ and ‘Negative Distinction’ Major Highlights of 3-Day Parliamentary Session

20 April 2012, 16:47

oh, thanks for reminding me another achievement of this government: aggressively dealing with rotten food sellers.

you think rotten food didn't exist before? lol you just weren't seeing it because the previous governments covered it up. now that someone did something against it, you also want to blame it on them? ridiculous

Progress in Appointment of Oil Authority Members

23 April 2012, 09:21

he didnt leave me, or any of the people of beirut anything. he stole a city center, privatized it and gave it on a silver platter to gulf oily camel riders to come here in summer as if out country was their whorehouse.
maybe a handful of lebanese still live in their city center, but not much more. and the original people who used to live in the confiscated house were expropriated with shamefully low compensations.

and oh we have to thank hariri for having an airport? as if we didnt have one before and he built it with his hands. maybe we can also thank him for Harissa?

Seven Injured in Tyre Restaurant Blast

23 April 2012, 11:12

how dare you accuse hezbollah? on what basis? with what proof? according to what logic?

first this damages tourism in Tyre, so it is not in the interest of the people of the south and therefore not of hezbollah's, because at the end of the day hezbollah IS the people of the south.

second we know that salafis / takfiris have a declared position of violent rejection of other beliefs/cultures whereas hezbollah has a declared position of acceptance and understanding. hezbollah also systematically did everything it could to avoid civilian casualties, even at the height of the 2006 war, they killed hundreds of israeli soldiers, but very few israeli civilians. so this doesnt make sense.

third and finally, if hezbollah wanted this restaurant, or any other in the region, closed, then it would be closed, without the need for an explosion. hezbollah has the support of enough mayors, MPs, ministers, to do it legally if they ever wanted to.

Report: Saudi Boy, 4, Kills Father Over PlayStation

23 April 2012, 14:01

!? 4 yr old able to use a gun? i find it hard to believe a4 yr-old could get passed the security lock, cock the gun, and (depending on the model of gun) have enough strength to squeeze the trigger.
unless the father left a loaded gun, with a bullet pre-cocked into the chamber and safety switch disabled, i would look into the wife as a suspect, maybe she's just blaming it on the kid ;)

who else is armed? hahaha are you so naive you think there is a single party/group in lebanon who isnt?

Seven Injured in Tyre Restaurant Blast

pure speculation and lots of corners cut to get to that texasusa.

first you're talking about the previous bombings of liquor shops to justify this baseless accusation, but they were already baseless accusations at the time. and these accusations are mainly made by "anonymous" internet users...
a baseless accusation does not justify another baseless accusation.

Furthermore, last time there was a bombing of a restaurant in Tyre, the army found links to salafi cells who hide in palestinian camps.
so please before accusing anyone, try to have an idea what you're talking about.

you keep saying hezbollah is the government and controls it, but now you say they can't make a law to ban alcohol in cities of the south...
duh.. please decide, either they control the gov or they dont. and then let me know when you decided.

about the samba festival, it's different.
i personally don't mind watching scarcely dressed women dancing in suggestive ways, not that the samba festival is only about that, but it definitely included a lot of it.
fact is, i also understand that some people do not want to see that, or have their kids see it. so they asked the festival not to come because they were DOING IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET

if you want you can make a parallel with sex. there's nothing wrong about it, it's enjoyable, nobody should tell you to do it or not, but you can't also force people to watch you doing it in the middle of the street.

Army Confiscates Truck Loaded with Arms Headed to Syria

23 April 2012, 16:45

armies are usually undirectional dear eli. they dont shoot at themselves and their allies.
if know you wish that the lebanese army would split and shoot in "all directions", but for time being, hezbollah and the army, and the people are all aiming in one direction :)
