Syrian Troops Kill Lebanese Man Near Arsal

you ask me to be honest and call me capullo? what kind of lowlife disrespectful prick are you?
there is no way you can say with any certainty the guy with a weapon was in lebanese territory, especially the border being unclearly demarcated.
but in any case when resistance fighter fight israel, and many lost their lives doing so, you dont see them whining or crying about it. when they are fighter and in an armed operation they know the risks they are taking and taking them willingly. we salute their sacrifice but we dont come whining about it. when planes bomb civilians however, that's another story.

Maronite Bishops: National Dialogue Must Be Resumed without Preconditions

30 May 2012, 14:30

The Bishops are right, refusing dialogue is pushing the country into the danger zone, and setting unacceptable pre-conditions for dialogue (government resign and Hezbolah disarm) is nothing less than refusing dialogue, just being hypocrite about it.
let's hope the wisdom of the bishops will prevail

when they call for dialogue they are not doing politics, they are doing the only wise thing to do. i'm an atheist but that doesnt mean i hate and oppose all religious people, it means i keep my freewill and freedom to assess each action or speech according to my opinion and logic.
besides that, i am for a laic government, and aoun, berri, nasrallah accepted it but your friends opposed it if you remember. so in the present time, lebanon is still influenced by religious leaders, whether you want it or not this is a fact to take into consideration.

"tony" i know you're not even lebanese, you say "we" when you talk of the US, so don't interfere in a lebanese matter which doesn't concern you.

finally a relevant comment here, yes the key information is why they were summoned. but annahar stopped short of that.
facebook has been used in many countries for investigations, including some rather comical situations where burglars logged into their accounts from the house they were robbing etc...

what is essential here is to know why they were questioned and what the charges are.
