lol, it's okay to call my comment stupid if you want, but don't do it right before you make a comment like the one you did! it'sway too grotesque, even for you!

the duration of the battle has nothing to do with the size of the city, it has to do with the number of mercenaries in it. i think a couple of weeks to clean a nest with tens of thousands of fighters, rigged with IEDs and infested with snipers is fine by me. the result is seen not in the time spent, but in how loud the whining of the mercenaries is. the SAA has time on its side, while the FSA is fading away :)
