قتل اللواء في الاستخبارات العسكرية السورية جامع جامع برصاص مسلحي المعارضة السورية في دير الزور (شرق) بحسب ما افاد التلفزيون الرسمي السوري.
وقال التلفزيون في خبر عاجل ان "اللواء الركن جامع جامع استشهد في أثناء تأديته لمهامه الوطنية بالدفاع عن سورية وشعبها وملاحقته للإرهابيين بدير الزور".
شغل جامع مناصب عدة في الاستخبارات كان آخرها رئيس فرع الاستخبارات العسكرية في محافظة دير الزور.
ولم يوضح التلفزيون كيف قتل جامع او اين تحديدا في المحافظة الواقعة في اقصى شرق البلاد.
وكان جامع احد كبار ضباط الاستخبارات السورية الذين خدموا في لبنان خلال الوجود العسكري السوري في هذا البلد والذي استمر من 1976 وحتى 2005.
وخضع جامع لتحقيق دولي في جريمة اغتيال رئيس الوزراء الاسبق رفيق الحريري الذي قتل في تفجير شاحنة مفخخة في بيروت في شباط 2005، كما ادرج اسمه على اللائحة الاميركية السوداء للاشتباه بدعمه الارهاب وسعيه لزعزعة استقرار لبنان.
وبحسب المرصد السوري فان اللواء جامع من مواليد قرية زامة التابعة لقضاء جبلة بريف اللاذقية (غرب) وهو "من الضباط المقربين لرئيس النظام السوري بشار الأسد، وأحد أبرز الشخصيات الأمنية في سورية".
