روسيا تتهم بشار الاسد بتصعيد التوتر بتصريحاته حول مشاركته في الانتخابات

اتهمت روسيا الخميس الرئيس السوري بشار الاسد بتصعيد التوتر في سوريا بتصريحاته حول احتمال مشاركته في الانتخابات الرئاسية في 2014 في ظل النزاع المسلح الجاري في هذا البلد منذ اذار 2011.
واعلن نائب وزير الخارجية الروسي ميخائيل بوغدانوف في مقابلة اجرتها معه وكالة انترفاكس ان "مثل هذه التصريحات تؤجج التوتر ولا تساهم بتاتا في تهدئة الوضع".
واعلن نظام بشار الاسد مرارا ان من حق الرئيس السوري ان يترشح الى الانتخابات الرئاسية في 2014.
وردا على سؤال بشان نواياه الانتخابية قال الاسد في مقابلة في نهاية تشرين الاول/اكتوبر "لا ارى اي مانع من الترشح للانتخابات المقبلة".
واثارت هذه التصريحات غضب المعارضة السورية التي تطالب برحيل بشار الاسد كاحد الشروط الاساسية لفتح مفاوضات مع النظام.
ودعا بوغدانوف الرئيس السوري والمعارضة الى عدم تصعيد التوتر قبل مؤتمر جنيف- 2 للسلام في سوريا المقرر في 22 كانون الثاني في سويسرا.
وقال "نعتبر انه عشية مفاوضات من الافضل عدم الادلاء بتصريحات من شانها ان تثير استياء اي كان وتثير غضبا او ردودا".
وادى النزاع المستمر منذ اذار 2011 في سوريا الى سقوط اكثر من 126 الف قتيل ولجوء نحو 2,3 مليون شخص الى البلدان المجاورة وفق المرصد السوري لحقوق الانسان.

Assad should heed what Russia has to say for two reasons. Assad can not afford to offend Russia for obvious reasons. And Assad has a much better chance of survival if he lowers his rhetoric allowing international and opposition face saving.

We know the entire UN Security Council (US, UK, France, China and Russia)wants a Syria free of Nusra and Qaeda as they are all afraid of the "blowback" of such an outcome.
Russia has the Caucasus problem, China the Uighur problem and have already seen partial blowback. It won't be long before the US and the EU see terrorism at home and at embassies around the world.
Russia is telling Assad not to rub defeat in the faces of the P5 or prolong an already catastrophic war that Russia is helping to subsidize for Assad. The US\EU are already pushing back in the Ukraine.
