It's really starting to get to me how Russia, Iran and Hizbullah keep repeating the same line of "we refuse foreign intervention in Syria" while each one of them has been caught red handed multiple times supplying weapons, training soldiers, and even assisting in the fighting against the (now it deserves being called) Syrian Army.

In short, they called everyone except the principles to the dispute, which makes the effort meaningless. Just as the Annan effort excluded the Iranians, who are principles to the dispute, the Iranian effort that excludes the Turks, Saudis and Qataris is likewise a useless effort to resolve the matter.

The West proposed to start negotiations with the assumption that Assad was done. Iran proposes to start with the assomption that Assad stays.
In fact this is a proxy war between KSA and Iran where neither side gives in to the other until the last Syrian is killed.
