Let's see if Egypt is in the play for a New Middle East.

If during his visit to Gaza he can even persuade the terrorists there to cease firing for the duration of his visit, then I am afraid the answer is a definite NO.
During his 3 hour visit 21 missiles we fired at Israel, nothing was fired from Israel as they respected the visit.

And you believe the rubbish you write, I presume.
You suppose that Israel will not respond, everyone claims that Israel has nuclear arms, so I can assume that if it came to the crunch they would use them, meaning, maybe no Israel, but also no Egypt, no Lebanon, no Syria, no Jordan and certainly no Iran.
So as you say "this will end the middle eastern cancer once and for all".

what a big difference time makes...in gaza war 2008,moubarak closed rafah crossing during the war forbidding even wounded to cross....now the foreign minister of egypt visited shifa hospital...so time is not working for the sionists in occupied palestine..anyway,u cannot steal the land for ever...it is only 65 years perhaps another 4/8 years ...the beginning of the end.

Hilarious... they can't be defeated. Good joke, apparently you don't know history and how the Western World + USSR came to their rescue when they were about to lose. Are you acting naive or are you plain naive?

The Jewish state has the world's fourth most powerful military which malevolently besieges and imposes apartheid occupation of Palestine. The Jewish state kills to further its paranoid pursuit of invulnerability, territorial conquest and supremacist empire in, and beyond, the Mideast. The Palestinians, with no chance of prevailing, are driven by decades of deprivation and desperation. During similar “Operation Cast Lead” the Jews enjoyed a kill ratio near one hundred to one .

1. Exactly what part of Gaza is "occupied"?
2. When exactly did Israel occupy Palestinian land. Palestine has never existed, it was made up by Arafat in the 1980's, and they have constantly refused to sit down at peace talks with Israel ever since then.
3. Decades of deprivation and desperation. Are you talking about the time that the area was occupied by Jordan and Egypt between 1948- 1967.
4. The reason that there were so few Israeli casualities is simple. They have shelters. The Gazans don't because Hamas prefers to spend its money on weapons instead of the welfare of its population.

Today's Jews are descendants of the few that survived holocausts at the hands of Imperial Rome. Christianity predates these Rabbinic Jews. Over the centuries their breeding with southern Europeans diminished even Semitic facial contours. Any God given or racial/blood based historical claim to the Holy Land by today's diluted Jews is inferior that of today's Palestinians, today's Arabs.

Don't blame it on the Israelis but on the Palestinians. They are incapable of recognizing that they have lost against the Israelis and accepting a peaceful solution. They want to keep on fighting until victory comes even if it can take hundreds of years.

When Finnish, Polish made peace with Russia they had lost substantial areas of their territory. Why can't the Palestinian accept the same. The issue in my opinion is the Supremacist culture of Islam and Arabs. Islam can only accept to win or make war. Look back at the history of Arabs and Islam.

Besieged Palestinian Gaza is an experiment in provocation. Stuff one and a half million people into a tiny space, stifle their access to water, electricity, food and medical treatment, destroy their livelihoods, and humiliate them regularly...and, surprise, surprise - they turn hostile. Now why would you want to make that experiment? Because the hostility you provoke is the whole point. Now under attack you can cast yourself as the victim, and call out the helicopter gunships and the F16 attack fighters and the heavy tanks and the guided missiles, and destroy yet more of the pathetic remains of infrastructure that the Palestinian state still has left. And then you can point to it as a hopeless case, unfit to govern itself, a terrorist state, a state with which you couldn't possibly reach an accommodation. And then you can carry on with business as usual, quietly stealing their homeland.

"stifle their access to water, electricity, food and medical treatment"
Before you write you should go and see the water pipelines from Israel into Gaza, you should see the electricity pylons carry current from Israel to Gaza, you should see the hundreds of lorries carrying food from Israel to Gaza, and then go to the Israeli hospitals to see Palestiniam patients being treated.
All this I have seen on television here in the west, just like you could probably do.
Unfortunately, I have not seen the same services being provided by Egypt, but on that you are silent. I wonder why?

Well said John. From a human perspective I think that's hard to disagree with. I think for this very reason is why they caught Obama and re former French PM calling Nentenyahu an asshole. Hopefully, the Level headed leaders can overcome the strong Jewish lobby to force Israel to stop. It's like the adopted red headed child of the west.

I agree with most of what you say, except for the fact that should/when peace occurs between the Palestinians led by Abu Mazen and Israel, the economic situation of all the people in the West Bank can only improve.
Hamas is not interested in the people of the Gaza Strip, otherwise they would have spent the $400 million they received from Qatar on purchasing food, medical supplies etc for the population instead of buying rockets.

thanks to israel extremist groups can exist and enslave their population and get power over them. 60 years of terrorism, wars, battles have led nowhere and we still find leaders to believe they are more intelligent than before and can destroy israel! no country will back up extremists groups whose sole "raison d etre" is to destroy a country! bearded leaders still have this populist propaganda that only war can destroy israel and they make sure their sheep follow them in this path!

only proving that palestinians are responsible people, wanting freedom and peace through PEACEFUL actions can change the international public opinions and so help them achieve their state!
those who preach war still don t understand that we are in the 21st century and still live in the past...

Well said Flame Thrower:) Hamas is the most democratically elected government in the Middle East and look how they were treated. Hamas, don't STOP, keep on hitting them hard, let them feel how we have felt since 1948. Their phone network and airport down, and you made them crawl underground, let them feel how we felt during their terrorism against us in the Middle East. Enough is enough and Israel never wanted and never will wish to have peace with their neighbors in the Middle East, so time to pack and go back home to East Europe or wherever they came from. This is the end:)

As the Hamas terrorists have decided to aim rockets at Jerusalem, would it be wrong of me to hope that as these missiles are not guided that at least they hit the Palestinian inhabited quarters of Shuafat or Issawiya, or the Old City and Haram as Sharif, not to mention Bethlehem or Ramallah just 10 kms away in either direction.
What would they boast about then?

Palestine was never a state, it was a province that came under the sanjuk of syria, ottoman empire. It is and has always been the dwelling place of jews, long before islam. It is the palestinian jews' right to self determination which led them to establish the state of israel. The palestinian arabs cold have had a state too, had they not wanted to destroy the state of israel from its birth. now we're in this shit because no arab nation wants to absorb their palestinian arab brothers into their own country, keeping them in camps and using them as political pawns against israel. palestinian arabs, you have been lied to for the past 60 yrs. history 101.

Error and Phillipo, I am ashamed you are both Lebanese.

Missing greatpierro 11:35 ,2012 تشرين الثاني 17

No my dear you are completely wrong. The only way to halt war is to make peace. Israel has offered many times to make peace with Lebanon. It has succeded with Egypt and Jordan. With Lebanon we could have had a peace deal in 1983 but Assad forced the Lebanese to cancel this deal.

Barak in Taba offered a great deal for Arafat, East Jerusalem, 98% of west bank and 2% compensation in the Negev. Yet Arafat refused.

Missing greatpierro 11:42 ,2012 تشرين الثاني 17

The middle east cancer is not Israel. It is the Arabs and Islam incapacity of adapting to a modern changing world where democracy, liberty of speech, justice and critical minds dominates.

Where ever Arabs and Islam left a heritage in the world there are currently problems, fighting, miseries, and tyranny. The problem is in the fundamentalist interpretation of Islam where the rules of Islam are imposed on people with force. Look back in history.

Whether Israel is here or not, the problems will stay. In fact it could be a chance for the middle east if we manage to find a peaceful solution and work hand in hand with the Israelis as they have a modern and very advance society.
