الاسد يقر ضمنيا لقناة "المنار" بالحصول على صواريخ اس 300 من روسيا

اقر الرئيس السوري بشار الاسد ضمنيا بالحصول على منظومات من صواريخ اس 300، وذلك بحسب مقتطفات بثتها قناة المنار التابعة لحزب الله اللبناني، وتأتي من ضمن حوار يبث كاملا الساعة التاسعة مساء اليوم بتوقيت بيروت (1800 تغ).
وافادت القناة في شريطها الاخباري "الرئيس الاسد للمنار ردا على سؤال حول صواريخ اس 300: كل ما اتفقنا عليه مع روسيا سيتم، وجزء منه تم في الفترة الماضية".
وكان نائب وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي ريابكوف قال الثلاثاء ان صواريخ ارض جو المتطورة من طراز اس 300 تشكل عامل "استقرار" هدفه ردع اي مخطط لتدخل خارجي في النزاع السوري المتواصل منذ اكثر من عامين.
الا ان اسرائيل حذرت امس على لسان وزير الدفاع موشيه يعالون من انها "تعرف ما ستفعله" في حال مضت روسيا في تزويد سوريا بهذا الطراز من الاسلحة.
وقال يعالون في ختام اجتماع للجنة الدفاع والخارجية في البرلمان ان "الشحن (الاسلحة) لم يتم وآمل الا يتم. لكن اذا وصلت (صواريخ اس-300) الى سوريا، فسنعرف ما علينا ان نفعله".
وشنت اسرائيل مطلع الشهر الجاري غارات جوية على سوريا استهدفت قواعد عسكرية قرب دمشق، في خطوة قالت انها تهدف الى منع وصول اسلحة متطورة الى حزب الله الشيعي.

So many holes in this s-300 affair... Basic points:
1. you need several systems deployed for a mediocre defense that cannot be countered with jammers
2. you need layers of defense so that an overwhelming force cannot pin down the systems all in one shot.
3. You need cover and protection against land and low altitude flights
What all of this means is that, IF the system ever gets delivered, but not in large quantities, they will have to use it as static defense, which has nothing to do with rebel weapons being delivered by air, and a no fly zone being imposed where rebels are garrisoned or have land superiority...

Maybe it is simply because most of the Sunnis realise that Israel is not an enemy of the Arab people. It is the Shia leaders who keep up the anti-Israel tirades to keep their own people in fear and poverty. A Middle East with peace between Israel and its Arab neighbours would ring about prosperity and hope for a bright future for all in the region.
