I agree that the US is sympathizing with the wrong people in the case of Egypt, but if your statement is meant to imply that M14 are also wrong, which makes M8 right, you are the one who's wrong.
Free Lebanese thinkers who sympathize with the M14 spirit are not influenced by the West. If the US also happens to side with M14, so be it. On the other hand, M8 followers are directed what to believe. How else do you explain the fact that these people continue to follow M8's inconsistent positions? The fact remains that no one is happier than Israel that M8 exists because this gives Israel the excuse to prolong their position as victims, while building one of the most powerful armies in the world. If M14 was clearly in charge, they would use diplomatic means (the same way Israel rose to power) to influence the world's opinion and eventually free Lebanon from Israel's grip. We can't continue to base our entire way of life on resisting Israel. No more empty “victories” like we had in 2006.
