Assad Stresses to Arabi Importance of Not Being Misled by Media Campaigns against Syria
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةSyrian President Bashar Assad urged on Saturday Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi against falling victim to misleading campaigns aimed at creating incitement against Syria, reported the official Syrian news agency SANA.
Al-Arabi affirmed that the Arab League and Arab countries are committed to Syria's security and stability, it added.
He said that the Arab League rejects all forms of foreign interference in Syrian internal affairs and it is seeking to overcome this current stage the country is going through.
He stressed that the Arab League will never be employed for passing a resolution against any Arab country.
The two sides also agreed upon a number of practical steps for speeding up the reform process in Syria, reported SANA.
For his part, Assad emphasized the importance of not being misled by media misdirection and incitement campaigns targeting Syria, saying: “The falsification of facts that is taking place is an attempt to tarnish the image of Syria and destabilize its security and stability.”
In July, Assad had discussed with al-Arabi the changes in the Arab world and the need to unite Arab efforts within the framework of the Arab League to resolve pending issues, particularly the Palestinian cause.
If you are so clean ya Bashar let the foreign media in so they can confirm what you are saying.
Before blaming the media , you should blame yourself of not being brave enough when you took power to make changes your country needed but it's much easier to rule as a dictator.
it's fascinating how some people here, whether they are from zionist information war department, or simply lebanese who hate assad so much, they keep predicting the fall of assad.
LOOK, HE IS STILL HERE!!!
Assad Jr., if a reformer, should have declined the throne. Once he accepted to replace his dad he signed on to be a dictator. The whole Assad family is involved; he has no prayer or interest in reforming anything.
As for Lebanese hating this regime, sure all have good reason to. This regime bombed, kidnapped, imprisoned, and killed both Lebanese Muslims and Christian alike. They played the Lebanese like puppeteers (and continue to do so). So debating whether a tyrant should remain in power, is debating whether the people of Syria should continue to live without any rights or freedoms.
Ya jabal Amel,
There are people in Lebanon who suffered at the hands of this regime and this is why they have a problem with it and not with the people. Stop with this language of zionist traitors. Of course, one cannot expect such a basic understanding from you as one cannot expect you to see beyond your sectarian interests. Suffice it to say, stay there in the jabel which is for all intents and purposes is not Amel anymore but Ma'amoul fi!
arab league secretary= arab league of dictators.
i pray god to keep the arabs away from BILAD EL ARZ.
Subject to be removed from power bil mlih or kabih. So take the advice before it's too late, nothing come out good from the united arab countries UNTIL they feel a disaster is about to occur or has occurred.
All of these efforts by the "Arab League" are futile. The dumbest statement ever which I thought was really out there, was "He stressed that the Arab League will never be employed for passing a resolution against any Arab country" this is absurd this so called League should be the first to condemn an Arab regime if it violates the Human rights of its people otherwise it would have taken on the liability of such a murderous regime. This is kind of thinking that lead to the longevity of such monsterous regimes to begin with. The Assad criminal regime has absolutely no chance in hell in surviving after this horrific and still unfolding Genocide against the Syrian people.
