Warriors Beat Hawks 114-95 in Clash of NBA Leaders

Golden State cruised to a 114-95 win over Atlanta in Wednesday's clash of the NBA's top two teams, taking a psychological edge into what could be the league's finals series.

The Warriors pushed their lead in the Western Conference out to 7-1/2 games, while Atlanta's lead in the East was trimmed to a still comfortable 10 games ahead of Cleveland, which stretched its home winning streak to 14 games by downing Brooklyn.

Elsewhere, San Antonio responded to the admonishment of its coach by winning at Milwaukee, and Dwyane Wade led Miami to a tight victory against Portland.

Golden State improved its run of home victories to 10, with Harrison Barnes scoring 25 points and Andre Iguodala adding 21 points and six assists for the Warriors.

Atlanta, looking fatigued, was denied again in a chance to clinch their first division title since 1993-94 as Washington won at Utah.

Paul Millsap and DeMarre Carroll each scored 16 points for the Hawks, who shot just 35.6 percent from the floor.

San Antonio, coming off what coach Gregg Popovich called "a pathetic performance" in losing to lowly New York, put in an improved showing to win 114-103 at Milwaukee.

Danny Green scored 20 points and Tim Duncan added 19 points and seven assists for the Spurs, who are seventh in the West.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 19 points for the Bucks, who are sixth in the East with an even 34-34 record.

Cleveland shook off a slow start to beat Brooklyn 117-92 and extend its impressive home streak.

Chicago's rookie forward Nikola Mirotic scored 20 of his 25 points in the second half to steer the Bulls to a 103-86 victory over Indiana.

Mirotic, who played 31 minutes off the bench, entered averaging an impressive 20.3 points in nine games in March. His previous best scoring month was the 9.9 points he averaged in December.

Mike Dunleavy added 21 points for the Bulls, who won comfortably despite playing without injured starters Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler and key reserve Taj Gibson.
