Actor Nicholas Brendon: Arrest Warrant is a Misunderstanding

Actor Nicholas Brendon says a warrant for his arrest in Florida is a "huge misunderstanding."

Brendon, who has appeared on the television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Criminal Minds," was arrested in March in Tallahassee after a disturbance at a hotel.

The Tallahassee Democrat (http://on.tdo.com/1EFyNbe ) reports that Assistant State Attorney A. Callaway Griffith filed new charges Wednesday after Brendon failed to submit urine samples as a condition of his release from jail.

Brendon's spokeswoman released a statement saying he hasn't used drugs or alcohol since his arrest last month, and he's "looking forward to clearing up this situation and continuing his path to recovery."

When he was arrested last month, Brendon told the newspaper he had been dealing with depression, took sleeping pills and went "into a blackout."
