4 Killed in Homs, Assad to Head 'National Dialogue Conference'
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةSyrian forces shot and killed four civilians Monday in the flashpoint central city of Homs, where troops were raking several neighborhoods with heavy artillery fire, a rights watchdog said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said one person was killed in the army's operations while the three others were shot dead by security forces and pro-regime militiamen.
Meanwhile the pro-government Al-Watan newspaper said President Bashar al-Assad will "soon" chair a "conference on national dialogue in order to put an end to the crisis in Syria."
The report comes as an Arab League delegation is due to visit Damascus on Wednesday in a new attempt to defuse the tension and prod talks between Assad's regime and the opposition.
"Soon".....how soon? If it goes past the Arab league meeting he will be finished. Russia and China will have made a deal and he will be rolled. He is finished. The US did not sell advanced F-16's to Taiwan, now let's see what Russia gets......an offshore drilling deal after Assad falls and to keep their navy base?
