Bassil Asks Why Salameh Not Prosecuted in Lebanon

W460

Head of the Free Patriotic Movement Jebran Bassil asked Monday why Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh hasn’t been prosecuted in Lebanon yet.

“Is it acceptable for Salameh to be prosecuted and interrogated in many European countries but not in Lebanon?” Bassil questioned in a tweet.

“He is the person most involved in serious money laundering crimes,” he said.

“Is this how we restore confidence in the Lebanese pound?” Bassil decried.

Funny how you trash the politicians you are against but still defend the ones you follow. Rafik Hariri and his people built the system that brought us to this point. The fact that you still defend them shows that people in lebanon are all sheep and this country will always be trash

Rafik Hariri was assassinated in 2006. So are you saying that Aoun and Bassil are still following his system? LOL

Also, Where in @Galaxy's comment did you see him defend Hariri even remotely ya pos!

You are obviously a disturbed species aka as aouni supporter.

No sir, he has no cojones…. He hides behind a wall of bodyguards when the civil society shows up instead of facing them with arguments.

Hang Jebran Bassil and his family NOW!

Thumb canadianleb 15 November 2021, 19:24

In order to do the right thing, which is to hang them all. Unfortnatley, that will never happen in Lebanon, the people are in a comma and will never wake up. Look at Sudan they contiue to protest against the coup and they are clearly stating that they can't kill us all, if only the Lebanese were as courageous as the Sudanese...

Violence and unrest is never-ending for the human species. About 70 or so years ago, the entire world was draped in violence and bloodshed which included every single continent on earth, the entirety of Europe and many other countries. There are periods of peace and serenity but only a fool believes that it is ever-lasting.

Whether it's a rich business man being impaled and crushed by the metal of his car and slowly and very painfully suffocating while suffering from a hemorrhage after a horrific car crash, or a poor villager being shot to death by people with ranged weapons, or even a decorated and well-prepared soldier being blown to bits by an IED. Death is inevitable and, in many cases, often brutal and grisly. No amount of prayers to any god in existence has ever helped a child, a woman or even a man facing molestation, brutal torture and of course, murder. That's the reality of life.
