Lebanese fighter Abdallah Ondash picks up another impressive win in Thailand
Lebanese Muay Thai fighter Abdallah Ondash rose to fame after dedicating his dramatic, last-second ONE Championship debut win on August 4 to the victims of the Beirut Port blast.
Despite trailing for two rounds, Ondash showed a never-say-die spirit to secure an amazing comeback victory, toppling his Thai opponent Parnpet Sor Jor Lekmuangnon with a knockout punch with one second to go on the third and final round.
This Friday, September 15, Ondash faces another Thai opponent, Palangboon Wor Santai, at ONE Friday Fights 33 in a Catchweight (57.15 Kg) Muay Thai bout.
Ondash hopes to score another win that would raise his impressive overall professional record (17-1).
The 22-year-old Lebanese fighter hails from a family of fighters. His brothers, Ahmad and Ramadan, are professional martial artists while his father, Khodr, was a wrestler who plied his trade for most of his sporting career in Turkey.
In recent years, Ondash has picked up several regional and international accolades, such as the Muay Thai world title at the Japanese kickboxing promotion K-1 as well as the golden medal at the Arab Muay Thai Championship.
Around three months ago, Ondash travelled to Phuket, an island in south Thailand, to prepare for his ONE Championship debut at the famed Tiger Muay Thai club. After picking up an emphatic win, ONE called him for another chance to shine on its global platform.
ONE Friday Fights 33 kicks off at 3:30 PM Beirut time and is broadcast live on BeIN Sports and ONE Championship’s official YouTube channel.
