Kirby says US to pay 'close attention' to Nasrallah speech
White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby has said that the U.S. is monitoring the situation on the Lebanese-Israeli border “very, very closely.”
“One of the reasons why the President sent an extra carrier strike group into the region and parked one in the Eastern Med is to make sure we send a strong message to any actor, including Hezbollah, who may want to widen the conflict: They ought not to do it. We take seriously, as I said earlier, our national security interests in the region,” Kirby added in response to a reporter’s question during a daily press briefing.
As for Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s expected speech on Friday and whether he might “declare war on Israel,” Kirby answered: “Now, Nasrallah can say what he wants to say. And we’ll certainly be paying close attention to it. But our message is the same to him, to them, to any other actor in the region.”

Wow, the arrogance! So you come all the way from America with your aircraft carriers to defend your national security interests but the people of the region like Lebanon, Syria, Iran, etc. have no right to defend their national security interests in the region?
I might not agree with Hezbollah on numerous issues, however who the hell you think you are to tell us or even tell hezbollah or any other country in the region what to do?

@ Galaxy: I can understand your point of view and it makes sense to say "Your interests lie with the people of the region" considering the regions population is more than ten times the population of Israel. What must be pointed out here is they are serving the interests of the Jewish and Zionist lobby back in the United States; the lobby that controls almost every aspect of political and financial life in the USA. They and their money install the president of the United States, the House Speaker, all the way down to any position of value or influence. Seeing the Presidents or Prime Ministers of the USA, France, Germany, Great Britain and France rush to Israel within 24 hours, one would think Israel is the real super power here.

My respect to countries Like Bolivia, Chile and Colombia that cut diplomatic relations with Israel as a result of its actions in Gaza while the major Arab countries remain silent about the massacres being committed in Gaza against the Palestinians. Shameful indeed!

We need to remove US military bases from the Middle East, similar to the actions taken by African nations regarding French. Our primary goal should be to resolve conflicts within our region and redirect our energy towards constructive endeavors. The United States has been involved in destabilizing and overthrowing regimes, with the latest victim being Imran Khan in Pakistan. Once we eliminate their influence, we will have greater control over our destiny. As Lebanese citizens, we can begin by electing a president who is not beholden to Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, or the Western powers.

What has the US done for Lebanon or Syria? It's stealing the Syrian wealth and shipping the oil to Turkey. They aren't even helping the Kurds, they're barely keeping their heads out of the water - for now- because they need them. America is a cancer and Arab States are realizing this Trump extorted 500 billions from MBS, they must mend their ties with Iran and spend their money in more useful ways than "buying protection" ... which is an act of racketeering.
