Gen. Aoun heads to Italy to attend army support meeting
Army Commander General Joseph Aoun on Friday traveled to Italy at an invitation from his Italian counterpart Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, the army said.
Aoun will take part in “a meeting organized by Italian authorities to discuss means to support the military institution in the face of the current extraordinary circumstances,” an army statement said.
The commanders of the armies of Spain, Germany, Britain and France will also take part in the meeting.
Italy is nice in March, the start of Spring. While there, he will do some designer clothes shopping to polish his ego.
Nothing says “Military Support” for Lebanon like a front-row seat to haute couture and gelato-fueled brainstorming sessions in Roma. Priorities I guess… when our economy is on life support, clearly what it needs is a military parade down the catwalk.
