Saudi Arabia condemned Iranian attacks targeting its neighbors in a statement released by the kingdom’s official press agency Saturday, following a flurry of salvos across the Middle East as Israel and the U.S. bombed Iran.

"The kingdom strongly condemns and denounces in the strongest terms the brutal Iranian aggression and the blatant violation of the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan," said the statement.

However, there was no mention in the statement of Iran targeting Saudi Arabia after several explosions were heard in the Saudi capital Riyadh by AFP journalists earlier Saturday.

- UAE, Kuwait, say responded to incoming missiles -

The United Arab Emirates said it had intercepted Iranian missiles and reserved its right to respond to the attacks, while Kuwait also engaged incoming strikes on Saturday.

"The Ministry of Defence announced that the United Arab Emirates was subjected today to a blatant attack by Iranian ballistic missiles. The UAE’s air defenses responded with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a number of the missiles," it said in a statement.

Abu Dhabi said it "reserves its full right to respond" slamming the attacks as "a dangerous escalation".

Kuwait’s Chief of Staff said in a statement that "air defense systems engaged incoming missiles detected in the airspace".

- Qatar condemns 'blatant violation' of territory by Iran -

Qatar on Saturday condemned an Iranian missile attack on its territory after several rounds of explosions were heard across Doha.

The country's foreign ministry voiced in a statement "its strong condemnation of the targeting of Qatari territory by Iranian ballistic missiles. It considers this a blatant violation of its national sovereignty," adding it "reserves its full right to respond to this attack".

- Jordan will defend its interests 'with all its might' -

Jordan's government called for a halt Saturday to the military escalation in the Middle East but said it would defend the kingdom's interests "with all its might", after the US and Israel launched strikes on Iran.

"Jordan is not part of the conflict in the region and will not allow anyone to violate its sovereignty and will defend its interests with all its might," government spokesman Mohammad Momani told Jordan's official Al-Mamlaka TV.

"Jordan's position is clear on the need to stop the escalation in the region," he added.
