Syria’s first lady Asma Assad told a friend that she was the “real dictator” in the family, according to leaked emails, Britain’s Daily Telegraph reported Monday.

Her correspondence with President Bashar Assad, his aides, friends and family portray her as highly supportive of her husband, the daily added.

In an email to a family friend on Jan 10, the British-born wife of Syria’s president, praised a speech the president gave for conveying a sense of being “very strong, no more messing around.”

In another, she complains that ABC News unfavorably edited an interview with him, the daily said.

It added that on Jan 17, she circulated an email cracking a joke at the expense of the people of the city of Homs, shortly before a regime onslaught that would claim hundreds of lives.

“As for listening – I am the REAL dictator, he has no choice ...” she wrote on Dec 14. It will not be helpful to Mr. Assad, who has made a show of passing reforms since protests against his rule broke out, the daily said.

Those emails are a bigger joke than Geagea.

So FlameThrower thinks a woman who jokes about children being brutally tortured on direct orders from her husband is a decent human being? PLEASE. You are almost as disgusting as she is... But I doubt you joke about children having their tongues pulled out by pliers. At least I hope you do.

I regret to see such a reputable newspaper like your goes out of context and fabricate stories about Syria. The problem that you are facing is that most of the Syrian knows the reality about what is going on in Syria. It is a pity that you people in the West have decided to side with the Moslem brotherhoods to help them gain power in Syria.
Had you know what they say about your country in their mosques and TV Channels, you would be worried about what will they do in the UK 10-15 years from now. At that time you would discover how short sighted you were to write such rubbish about a real lady.
