A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip struck a house in southern Israel early on Friday, without causing any injuries, a police spokesman said.

"A rocket hit a house in the town of Sderot, causing damage to the roof. There were no injuries but a resident was hospitalized in a state of shock," said the spokesman, Luba Samri.

Another rocket struck in the Ashkelon region with no injuries or damage.

They were the latest in a string of rockets fired from Gaza in the past week. A radical Salafist group claimed responsibility for the earlier attacks.

Tensions regularly flare along the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip, with Palestinian militants firing rockets into the Jewish state and the Israeli military launching retaliatory air strikes on the Palestinian territory.

The last major flare-up was in June, when militants fired more than 150 rockets at southern Israel, wounding five people, and Israel hit back with air strikes which killed 15 Palestinians.

So once again Hamas can claim that they did not fire the rockets, yet they proclaim to control all of the Gaza Strip.
Every time a rocket is fired it proves even more what a group of terrorists, not a government, Hamas is.
Just what military target was in the house which was hit in Sderot?
