Report: UAE Busts Cell Linked to Egypt's Brotherhood

UAE security forces have arrested more than 10 people linked to Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood who recruited members in the Gulf state, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

"United Arab Emirates security services have arrested a cell of more than 10 people belonging to the leadership of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood," Al-Khaleej reported, quoting what it said was an informed source.

Libya Church Blast Kills Two Egyptians

An explosion rocked a Coptic church near the Libyan city of Misrata, killing two people and wounding two, all of them Egyptians, a diplomat told Agence France Presse on Sunday.

"Two men were killed and two others wounded," said the diplomat at the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli who declined to be named, adding that it took place late Saturday but the embassy was only informed on Sunday.

PM Qandil: Egypt Wants to Resume Talks on IMF Loan

Prime Minister Hisham Qandil said on Sunday that Egypt wants to resume talks with the International Monetary Fund in January on a $4.8-billion loan frozen this month because of political tensions and unrest.

Egypt Prosecutor Orders Probe into Opposition 'Incitement'

Egypt's public prosecutor on Thursday ordered a probe into the top three leaders of the opposition on suspicion of trying to incite followers to overthrow President Mohamed Morsi, a legal source said.

The prosecutor, Taalat Ibrahim Abdallah, who was appointed by Morsi late last month, signed the order against the leaders of the opposition National Salvation Front, which led protests against Morsi's drive to have a new constitution adopted.
