Kenya Finds Iranians Guilty of Possessing Explosives

Two Iranians were found guilty by a Kenyan court Thursday for possessing explosives allegedly for use in bomb attacks.

Ahmed Mohammed and Sayed Mansour, who were arrested last June, were found guilty of possessing 15 kilos (33 pounds) of the powerful explosive RDX. The court said they had suspected links to a terror network planning bombings in Mombasa and Nairobi.

Watchdog: Syrian Forces, Hizbullah Tighten Noose on Homs Rebels

Regime forces were on Thursday tightening the noose on rebels holed up in a key area of the central city of Homs, the Syrian Observatory for Human rights watchdog said.

"The Syrian army, supported by back-up forces and expert officers from Iran and Hizbullah, has taken control of large parts of the Wadi al-Sayeh district" in the center of Homs, the group said in a statement.

Hariri Responding to Nasrallah: Hizbullah Linking Lebanon to Syria and Leading it to Destruction

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri slammed on Wednesday Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's latest speech, saying that he has completely “written off the Lebanese state” and substituted it with the party.

He said in a statement: “The most dangerous remark by Nasrallah was not his position on the Syrian revolt or his undying defense of President Bashar Assad, but his suicidal link of the fate of Lebanon to that of Syria.”

Syria Opposition Denounces Hizbullah 'Threats'

Syria's opposition on Wednesday denounced what it called "threats" from Hizbullah Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and warned the party against any intervention by it or by Iran in the Syrian conflict.

"The Syrians and the Lebanese hoped... that the Hizbullah leadership would stop their attacks on Homs and Damascus and take into account the gravity of the situation in the region," the Syrian National Coalition said in a statement.

Germany Charges Four over Iran Nuclear Equipment Sales

German prosecutors said Monday they had charged four men with breaching sanctions against Iran by delivering equipment for an atomic reactor that the West suspects is part of a covert nuclear weapons program.

Three men with joint Iranian-German nationality, identified only as Kianzad Ka., Gholamali Ka. and Hamid Kh., and German national Rudolf M. were arrested last August in police raids involving 90 officers.

Zgheib Urges Iran to Exert Efforts to Free Lebanese Pilgrims

Sheikh Abbas Zgheib, who has been tasked by the Higher Islamic Shiite Council to follow up the case of the abducted Lebanese pilgrims, called on Saturday on Iran to exert efforts to free the nine men.

“We briefed the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon (Ghazanfar Roknabadi) on our endeavors and urged him to call on his country to resolve the case,” Zgheib told reporters after talks with the Iranian diplomat.
