Hizbullah noted on Wednesday that Lebanon's Independence Day is a very important occasion for the Lebanese people due to the principles of loyalty and sacrifice that it entails.
It called in a statement the Lebanese people to unite around the equation of the people, army, and resistance.

French President Francois Hollande said on Wednesday that his country will not meddle in Lebanon's internal politics, urging all politicians to cooperate together to overcome the current crisis.

High-ranking security sources told al-Joumhouria daily published Wednesday that Khalil Ahmed al-Boubou, who was jailed for five years after a 2006 attack on the Lebanese army at the Fakhreddine Barracks, was recently seized for helping an Algerian Fatah al-Islam militant escape Roumieh prison.
