Neighbours Turkey and Iran will carry out a joint operation against Kurdish rebels, state-run Anadolu news agency quoted the interior minister as saying on Wednesday.

Washington will scrap the preferential trade status of India and Turkey, the US trade chief's office said, as President Donald Trump ramps up his battle against what his administration views as unfair foreign trade practices. 

Turkish inflation has dropped below 20 percent for the first time since August last year, reaching 19.67 percent in February, official statistics showed Monday.

Consumer prices had been falling since a 15-year high in October, but inflation rose in January and reached an annual rate of 20.35 percent from 20.30 percent in December.

Turkish police on Tuesday launched raids to detain over 300 people, including military personnel, suspected of ties to a group blamed for a 2016 coup bid, state media reported.

Prosecutors in Turkey's three biggest provinces -- Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir -- issued arrest warrants for 324 people as part of different probes into followers of US-based Muslim preacher Fethullah Gulen, the private DHA and the Anadolu state news agency said.
