no he cannot link you to his crystal ball. geha always bases his "reasoning" on the craziest facts, none of them ever supported by any verifiable information, and none ever turned out to be true. he takes a crazy assumption, presents it as a given, and goes on from there to draw the most irrational conclusions.
poinsonfang, your name is well chosen. no we have more things uniting us than things dividing us, if you were lebanese and had ever set foot in lebanon you would know that. politicians keep fighting each other, and some commentators on websites such as this one make aggressive statements, but in the everyday life lebanese all live work and party together and share the same family/social/cultural values.
weird, my comment got censored with no reason whatsoever. I was saying:

lol - they lost 3 times this amount in 2006, according to a french-italian joint intelligence report, they lost 600 soldiers in lebanon.
they're trying to reassure and encourage themselves to attack us, but they will pay a much higher price this time if they try.
suicide bombing has show its limits, hezbollah's approach is radically different, and their new form of guerilla in the face of their technology gave some pretty good results. yes the israelis managed to slaughter civilians by dropping bombs, and they destroyed a lot of our infrastructure, but on the ground they got seriously whopped by the hezbollah fighters.
if, as it is widely believed, hezbollah now has anti-air capabilities, as well as precision missile launching, the next war will be a huge slap in the face of israel. the only reason 6 years have passed and they're still "thinking" about attacking, and havent yet, is because they know very well it will not come cheap next time.
min-canada: they will however endanger their citizens by launching the next war, the only thing they can hope for is that hezbollah stays true to itsels: in 2006 hezbollah aimed for soldiers killing hundreds, and avoided hitting israeli civilians (only a dozen died).
all this while israeli deliberately committed a massacre of civilians for the only reason of pressuring the lebanese into their blackmail.
i doubt iran will be so delicate, if they attack them the rain of ballistic missiles will not discriminate between tsahalis, settlers, and opportunists who are only israeli "civilians" because they got a nice deal to come and live in a stolen house, on a stolen land.
gcb1: thank you. even though we do not agree on the issue of weapons, you seem to be someone who can be reasoned with.
i do not think hezbollah's weapons should be eternal though, but for now they are direly needed, some may want to blind themselves and ignore the fact that we're under threat, but it will not make it go away.
but the most important thing is indeed this fixation on the weapons, as if nothing else mattered and they seem to want to provoke the fight that they pretend to be afraid of. if they're afraid of hezbollah's weapons why provoke? inversely, if they provoke so much and are in such a confrontational attitude, it means they are not really afraid. i feel some are bent on doing what the US told them to, to serve israel. this is not how most m14 followers feel i believe, they are blinded and incited using other pretexts.
