Politicians along with religious leaders have been dividing the Lebanese for Centuries. Sectarian, Ideological and Tribal divisions are our hallmark.

Even "The Grand Mufti" dares not to tell the truth ... That it is KSA that is causing this "division" of Lebanese.

Lebanon is now a battlefield between KSA and Iranian interests. "The Grand Mufti" should denounce Wahhabi interference.

Lebanon's political structure is well defined and it is the minority March 14 coalition that tears Lebanon to pieces.

Thumb arzak-ya-libnan 11:43 ,2013

sure sure.. you are nothing but a hypocritical intelligence lacking individual... it is amazing how it is the KSA ONLY that is causing everything in Lebanon.. while Iran and Syria have been and continue to shower our blessed people with flowers and rice..
you have ZERO credibility.. and the grand mufti blasted BOTH sides for a reason .. because it is BOTH sides that damage and destroy Lebanon.. you deserve no insult as an insult would be a compliment to you and your likes...
where are you when it is proven what syria and its allies iran and the herds of sheep in Lebanon are proven to be bombing and killing..
tfeh 3a hayk Lebanese..

Iran and Syria are not responsible for the boycott of Parliament nor the impasse on Cabinet formation and oil and gas development, the KSA is.

who were responsible for the boycott of parliament for 2 years? LOL who were responsible for paralyzing the gvt's work for 3 years? LOL

be objective mckinl!!

@ peace

That was then ... this is now. The current situation is just as I described. What is the KSA up to ???

Lavrov recently revealed chemical weapons training for Qaeda to be used in Iraq. The KSA is regrouping the terrorists in Syria under one banner with huge sums of money and modern weapons.

The KSA is hobbling the political process in Lebanon as well as stopping oil and gas exploration, tourism and foreign investment. Lebanon will be kept hostage even as the country descends into chaos.

The KSA goal is to break the feared "Shia Crescent" into a thousand pieces and the killing of a million people in the Crescent or more, doesn't bother them one bit. To the KSA Lebanon is just "collateral damage".

sure sure again... m14 dont even want to be in the govt and m8 are asking for veto power again,., yet it is KSA and M14 that are obstructing the formation... this veto thing was invented by m8, HA specifically, and now they try and make it the rule...
veto power in the cabinet is not mentioned anywhere in our constitution.. the cabinet being a mini parliament is nowhere to be seen in our constitution is also nowhere to be found.. yet M8 according to your limited mental capabilities are not obstructing the cabinet formation yet m14 is.. flabbergasting.. but to think about it maybe not.. it is to be expected of narrow minded individuals.

p.s. Aoun is also boycotting the parliament.. this is a constitutional right.. to protest against the agenda that berri is keen to push through and will not budge.. why do you not blame him? he can easily change the agenda.. but again the limited one side thinking of people like you is that m14 should fall in line with what berri wants and just shut up.. and you talk about democracy? you talk about the constitution? yawn.

@ arzak-ya-libnan

Both Suleiman and Salam are M14 and will appoint a cabinet that represents a minority viewpoint that isolates the Shia especially HA. That is why they want veto power.

Boycotting Parliament is NOT a right but a tactic of obstruction that unfortunately causes no penalty. Lebanon's problem. like Parliaments re-election of itself, is the ease of perverting governance ...

Thumb arzak-ya-libnan 18:03 ,2013

I mention Aoun in every article? Mind providing some links to that? And besides i mentioned him in the context of the conversation I am having on who is boycotting the parliament. Mc hammer is blaming it all in KSA and m14. Your opinion of Aoun is what you said. While I see the party rife with corruption. And as much a flip flop as jumblat. And a lack of principles. You are free to yours as I am to mine. Now I know you will ask for evidence and I will give you exactly the same argument that all you peeps use for Hariri. Look at Bassil and the wealth and land he has accumulated.

Thumb arzak-ya-libnan 19:24 ,2013

yes i know.. you will say he did not want to sideline 33% of the population with what he did... he could avoided sidelining 33% of the population without providing cover to the arms of a militia (his words) so i do not care what he gives me with petty niceties when he missed the bus on the bigger point...

Smallah. Lol. And you keep on acting like your leaders do and try and force your opinions on us as facts.
P.S. if you didn't understand what I said here it is in plain English: it is none of your damn business who I support (if I do indeed support anyone) but I have my principles. And whomsoever works in agreement with my principles I will support. You being an Aouni would not even know the meaning of the word principles considering you follow the same man with two completely different sets of principles.
Keep following men. No matter how long you lived in Australia the Lebanese in you still shines through.

Thumb mckinl 13:47 ,2013

Aoun's boycott of Parliament is only recent and is not the problem with forming the Cabinet ...

Thumb mckinl 14:49 ,2013

@ gma-bs-artist

No Aoun did not say HA was betraying democracy ... Aoun said he disapproved of HA involvement in Syria as a violation of the Taif Accords ...

Aoun is boycotting what he says is an illegitimate government as instead of elections they just voted themselves all back into office. In his view this is Unconstitutional ... and it probably is.

I make no effort to defend Aouns' positions though most are based on the sanctity of the Constitution. That is not the position M14 is taking ...
