Read this story in English W460

"to carry out the necessary medical checkups." hahaha!

Phoenix I hate to tell you this, but Lebanon's medical system is really bad. You have some good doctors who have graduated from the US, France etc. But you also have doctors who are really bad.

Lebanon seems to be losing its specialty doctors, like oncologists, urologists etc. Lebanon's medical system is on the verge of a downward slope. And I hate to say this, you cannot compare hospitals in Lebanon with the US, Emirates.

Lebanon needs an overhaul change when it comes to medicine.

I am with you on this one, one of my family members had to do a simple surgery and was in the ICU for a few hours as precaution and I can tell you that ICU was a joke, the heart monitoring machine had one of its sensors not working, they had equipment hanging of the door handle of the toilet, what a joke. And this relative was in first class. I am sure there are still good doctors but those are out of reach for even the middle class it seems, sad state of affairs

What a brilliant bunch above! So cash injection has to happen face-to-face like an old black and white mafia movie? Did President Suleiman go the States last month also for cash injection or medical treatment on his eye? Typical Lebanese mentality focused on hating the other and feeding off conspiracy theories!

Thumb EagleDawn 12:55 ,2013 تشرين الأول 17

My horses are at ease.... but, it seems yours are not. Do you have proof Jumblatt is going for cash? IF you don't, please get off your high horse and stop lecturing people. You make crazy unfounded claims.

phoenix: I am amazed at your insistence the president did not go for eye surgery in Boston. This is exactly from the daily Star"Sleiman back in Lebanon after eye surgery
July 28, 2013 06:01 PM
The Daily Star
BEIRUT: President Michel Sleiman returned to Beirut over the weekend after undergoing eye surgery in the United States.
Sleiman, who traveled to the U.S. earlier this week, returned in the country overnight Saturday."

Here is Naharnet article dated July 24:
http://www.naharnet.com/stories/en/91698-report-suleiman-in-tehran-next-month-for-rowhani-inauguration

The last paragraph reads "Suleiman is currently in the United States on a several-day private visit. Reports have said that he is undergoing treatment in his left eye in Boston."

@the1phoenix..... You may have your personal reasons to hate Jumblatt and that is your prerogative. However, the President was in the United States for eye surgery. It was all over the news. Stop debating the obvious coz you are making a fool out of yourself.......... Sorry, you lost on this one!

the1Phoenix who tought you that big lie that Lebanon has the best doctors and Arab leaders come here to get cured?? did you hear the Saudi king or the Jordanian or even Bachar coming to Lebanon to get cured??? they all go to France even Yasser Arafat went to France . If there is anything that used to bring the Arab princes to Lebanon was the smell of women nothing more our women are what used to attract them but unfortunately not anymore because they can find them now in Dubai order them with a phone call and charge the same as here.

LOL @ice-man: this is typical flamethrower! He commends himself, votes himself up, and sometimes logs on as a "gratefulreader".:))

Thumb EagleDawn 12:49 ,2013 تشرين الأول 17

Flamer: Lately, I have not seen you complain about the voting system, which is good. A few months back anytime you got more than 1 vote down, you claimed there was a conspiracy against you. I see that you managed to fix that lately. Enjoy your new found popularity:)))

Phoenix, the mere fact that an MP, a minister in government leaves Lebanon and goes to France for medical reasons also tells you that the leadership does not trust the very system they are supposed to promote and make better.

I think there should be a term limit on all the MP's and Ministers in government and more young people should be promoted to lead Lebanon.

We need to change the broken system.

Missing john101 15:14 ,2013 تشرين الأول 17

Flame, I will agree with you that we have some Lebanese doctors who are probably the best in the world. Having said that, most of them are abroad and not in Lebanon.

The question comes in, if we have the best doctors in the world why don't we provide for them the best technology and make Lebanon a destination for top medical treatment. The simple answer for that is, our government is corrupt.

The bottom line is, we have people who are like sheep. They vote for the same corrupt leaders who do not care about the people. All they can think of is their political party backed up by religious ideologies. We do not have true statesmen.

Although i dislike wiam wahhab, i think he was right that Jumblat goes to france to a mental hospital. I think coke went way over his head. he took overdoses lately cause spinning again and again is causing his already damaged brain to shutdown. Just go to France and take most of "leaders" with you and never come back

Default-user-icon Borzando Epliajine (ضيف) 13:16 ,2013 تشرين الأول 18

Of course it is for medical reasons. There is a high demand for Jumblat for medical reasons. All medical circles want to study the phenomenon of his political antennae failing EVERY SINGLE TIME when all along everybody (and they're all brilliant, of course) assumed they worked. Some still do! Shouldn't these be the ones to be studied instead? By the way, cheikh Saad al-Haribi Telteyn al-Marajil, too, is in Paris for medical reasons. In his case, they want to study how someone who is so immature and dumb can be chosen to run the mafia left behind by Rafik Don Corleone and is now managed by Vito Siniora Gambini.
