Great observation the_roar, but you are asking for too much of some on here to acknowledge the obvious, instead, get ready for the regular onslaught of you being a hezbo terrorist supporter and a Sunni hater. I cant speak for others, but I am one that is grateful for the sacrifices of HA for helping to restore pride and dignity into Lebanon and to ensuring that this country remains free. I cant recall who said it on here, but HA is like a vanguard of Lebanon and its citizens, and that also includes ensuring that no Lebanese government becomes an authoritarian entity acting on behalf of one sect or for an external party. This apparently is a no no for the Saudi monarchs.

We do not need/want HA to serve the country through an entity that pledges loyalty to Iran/Ayatolah first and foremost. We want the protection of Lebanon and all Lebanese to through its Institutions and armed forces. If HA wants to merge its weapons an trined men with our armed forces and pledge to place Lebanon over Iran then we can have a discussion on this. Until then, HA is considered an outlawed militia that is blackmailing our citizens and armed forces by the threat of civil unrest and even armed conflict with the State if its demands are not met or its arms are touched.

A strong Christian President backed by our army has to play the age old role of diffusing and preventing our Shiia and Sunni brethren from cutting each others throats.
