قصف سوري يطال القاع وفوج المجوقل ينتشر
Read this story in English

God bless our army and soldiers. Hope they have enough protection and are not in the open to avoid unnecessary casualties.

If they continue to shoot upon Syrian planes, we will see a massive desertion within the LAF.

Well, within it's abilities, the army is firing on Israeli forces when they cross the line and firing n Syrian aircraft, fighting Asir and al Qaeda. So what's really bothering you when I'm concerned with the safety of our troops?

and of course the paid mouthpiece knows in advance the army's defense strategy.

President Sulaiman would do about anything, to get a second term, and the 3 billion Saudi dollars, i think he would even go as far as using the army for that. So my concern is not entirely untrue. I have many relatives/friends in the army, and they said if the LAF confronted the Syrian army which are our brothers, then they will simply desert.

"Massive desertion within the LAF" will lead to the de-facto partition of this country. It happened in the 70's and it took almost 20 years to put the country back together.
Maybe that's what we deserve: to live each in our little ghetto happily ever after.

@jabal10452 Is that really what you want? A new civil war, when we are barely recovering from the last one.

Lah ya 3ammé! I was being bitter and sarcastic. But think about it for a minute:
- We can't get along.
- We can't trust each other.
- We can't agree on the very identity country we're supposed to have.
- ALL of our politicians take their cues from foreigners.
- NO party accepts even partial responsibility for the embarrassing state of affairs that we are witnessing; It is 100% the other party's fault.
So tell me Mystic: how long are we supposed to live in this forced marriage? When a marriage goes sideways, you either fix it, Divorce or live the rest of you life in quiet misery. We're not fixing it, it is getting worse by the day.

@Jabal That is Lebanon as we know it. Live with it, as we all do.

Mystic.
The Syrian army is the worst enemy of a sovereign Lebanon. Even worse that the Zionists south. For them Lebanon is nothing but a card they use to keep baathists in power. For them We don't have the right to exist as a nation except in order to fulfill their wicked agendas. And the worst part is that they infiltrated our country.

@lebanon_fist Do you recall 2006 bombing of our entire infrastructure?
Syria during the Civil war, helped Lebanon stabilize itself, unlike Israel that only gave us more misery, Israel had to be kicked out by force 2000.
Syrian army voluntarily withdrew in 2005, so i do not see your point.

Mystic.
Israel are our ennemies. They destroyed our infrastructure. We can however rebuild our infrastructure back in 2 of 3 years.
Syria pretends to be our friends. But they work under the table to destabilize us and send us the likes of Samaha to create strife between chiites and sunnites lebanese. And such a strife would take decades to heal.
which neighbor is more dangerous?

@Mystic.
"Live with it"? No thank you. We deserve better. Like an open democracy, freedom of thought, transparent governance, A strong and cohesive army that guarantees independent decision making, and an affective system of uprooting corruption. I can't accept this moral dump that we call a country.

@lebanon_first We can rebuild the infrastructure, but we can not rebuild the souls of the thousand deaths that year. Syria didn't create our Civil War.
They are not our enemies, ofcourse M14 leaders makes you believe they are. But in fact they are the best neighbours we have.

@Jabal You know aswell as i do that we can't, because Lebanon is too splitted and fragmented. We can dream about it forever, but we must accept reality.

Fact is the only thing that keeps Lebanon a bit united is our Army, whom i dearely love & respect. But when they get idiotic commands such as attacking Syrian Airplanes, that will only make it worse for everyone.

Mystic.
Ref the zionist entity. Maybe HA should not have provoked them and kidnapped their soldiers. We have a sewer to our south and we stick your head in it then complain we got dirty.
But that is not the issue. The discussion is about Syria, not about the zionist entity. You are avoiding the jist of topic. Why have our "brothers" assadists protected israel in the golan for 40 years?

Now you are becoming more like Saudi_first. Golan heights were unfortunately lost, when President of Egypt Anwar Sadat was bought by US. And betrayed Syria & Egypt and saved Israel from extinction. 1973 war was the closest time of Israeli defeat, you can read about that everywhere.

Actually Golan was lost before Hafez Al Assad became President. So your point against them doesn't work out.

Mystic: I was saying it will not happen because the LAF is nobody's pawn, not even Suleiman's. It will not let itself be used for political maneuvers, it has a strong and wise command.

Jabal.
I am a true beleiver in Lebanon. But I dont want to participate in each regional war. And I dont want our youth to die in other people's war. I want to get popcorn and watch while working on our economy.
Lebanon IS splittable. Throughout history, Lebanon was always city states. Singapore is one of the most successful countries in the world.
If Some people want baath to keep on controling lebanon, if they relish to have the last bastion of stalinism in their country. We dont have to live in them. We need to work on splitting strategies. Let them liberate qsair and jerusalem and be a baathist country. We will be a democratic state working on our economy.

not "throughout history", just at the phoenician period. at the time the population was not even a fraction of what it is today. today lebanon is urbanized from north to south and densely populated with many mixed areas and many "patches" of different sect interwoven. partition is a geographical impossibility, unless we're talking massive displacement or sectarian cleansing. whatever the problems we currently have, they would be dwarfed by the ones we'd have if we attempted such a stupid thing.
and if ever we managed, then we would end up like "mini-bouchees" to be eaten by either syria or israel, and eventually also maybe a small bite would be given to palestinians in return for peace in zion.

Mystic.
I am talking about Golan from 1973 to 2013. Not about the 1973 war. I am talking about the safest border of Israel. During our civil war, Our kids were fighting Israel while the baathists were enjoying a cosy safe border with israel. You are so out of arguments you result to name calling me?
Again you avoided the jist of the question. Why are you running away ya ibneh? I will copy and paste for you. ANSWER BELOW:

How can i be out of arguements when i gave you a perfectly good point? You said Assads never fired on Israel, you are wrong, they killed many IDF soldiers during the 1973, you can't deny it. That is a fact that you can't live with, and then tells me to forget about it? Do you forget also, that Syria opened it's borders to Lebanon during the 2006 war to take all the civilians in, while Hezb was engaged?

Mowaten.
Unfortunately apart from the phoenician period, Lebanon was always conquered. So I meant throughout our independant history.
As for the catastrophe scenario you are envisaging. I dont agree at all. The two entities created will not be antagonists. People will have their rights in both.

Fact is Lebanon owes Syria for that, and now we take their refugees in, and they will also go back to Syria, when the Al Qaeda and Free Salafi army has been annihilated.

Mystic. Another proof you dont read.
I never said assad NEVER fired. I said specifically 40 years.
If you put as much energy to read as you put to just answer. Pls follow the following protocol : Read. then Think. Then Answer......

so you believe i'm going to eat everything you say? I know i am wasting my time debating you. Because neither of us will change our views.
My point is the same as above, Syria always supported Resistance against Israel, and are still a part of the Resistance. It doesn't matter which front is it. Southern Lebanon, or Golan they helped us, when all the M14 supporters vouched for Hezbollahs destruction.

You have also proven that you are a zionist supporter. Saying these exact words:

once more mystic showing his alllegiance to syria and iran.
Traitors can defect anytime, LAF dont need them ,enough patriots in Lebanon...

@cedre, that would be more than 50% of the army. Very good for the LAF hmm?

mizztich are u saying that 50% of the lebanese army allegiance go to wali al faqi Khamenei and his lebanese representant Nassy and not to the nation ? They can defect anytime, traitors are replaced easily, millions of lebanese patriots available...

I bet you feel the same, about the 55% of the Lebanese people cedre.

God bless the LAF and God raise the heart pressure of all M8 every time the LAF defends our sovereignty from the evil child-murdering SAA :) :) :)
There has never been a moment where I was prouder of our army.

What is the Lebanese Army's Airborne Regiment? Is it the Air Force or some kind of para-commandos ?

The guy asks a question and gets several thumbs down. Go figure!
The Airborne is the Moujawkal, which is a commando unit.

Odd. So many attacks against the Army have gone unpunished, while asking questions is punishable by thumbs-down.

All personal issues aside...as a nation we need to be on the offensive...what we are seeing is these takfiris being driven out by the syrians..they have already begun to funnel into iraq with daash claiming they have taken fallujah in iraq...their other point of retreat is obviously lebanon...god bless the LAF...
Great news, the more powerful our army becomes, the nearer we shall get to statehood. Nothing could make me happier than to know that our army finally is shaping up as we all want it to. God bless our army.

but hezbollah will do everything to prevent the army from being strong otherwise it means the beginning of their end....

oh is that right peace. Did you ever think that HA actually welcomes a strong Lebanese army. The two very much compliment each other and when Lebanon's threats ie Israel and Saudi jihadist are eliminated then HA will be more than happy to integrate into the army. Even HA is the first to admit that its an entity that should not last permanently. nice try though peace.

LOL hezbollah ask for a strong army for sheep like you so you believe them... but it is not in their interest to give up their arms and integrate the army... dream on that citybabe...
let the army disarm them and you ll see your hezbis shoot at them... even nasrallah said whoever would take their weapons they d cut their hands! LOL
but nice try in your propaganda, but it works only for sheep not for those with a brain.....

peace. you are a genius, can you tell us when you think this will all happen. when do you think the army will confront and HA. time line please. enlighten us, since you are the one with the brains.

This is the most comical comment of the day, how can i be CIA when i am supporting their enemies? :-)
