"تمكنت عناصر الشرطة في عكار من توقيف عصابة لتزوير لوحات السيارات"، بحسب ما أفادت الوكالة الوطنية للإعلام.
وأشارت الوكالة، الأربعاء، الى أن "عناصر مكتب حلبا في المديرية الاقليمية لأمن الدولة في عكار تمكنت من توقيف عصابة لتزوير لوحات السيارات وضبط سيارة مرسيدس 300 لونها أخضر".
وأضافت أن "العصابة ضمت كلا من :م.أ.ع - ف.م.ح - ه.ب - م.ج.ف. هذا وسيتم تسليم المتهمين الأربعة مع المضبوطات الى مكتب السرقات الدولية لمتابعة التحقيق".

Good writing @trust, you are spot on correct, on legal number plates, but the story is about a gang that works on fake number plates, and that does cause worries. I remember a couple of years ago, ex-minister Charbel talking of number plates using some kind of advance digitally trackable number plates, like the ones in the UAE and Singapore, good idea it was, but it never saw the light.
