قاسم: المقاومة عمود من أعمدة البيان الوزاري ولا وجود للبنان من دونها

Read this story in English W460

The cementeries are full of irreplacable people, the graveyards of history are full of irreplacable organizations.
If he talked about all-embracing patriotism under the wings og the army of Lebanon, no one could agrue with him. As we all know thats not what he is talking about. He wants the islamic resistance of lebenese shia to continue their life outside the control of the government, with the blessing and continous support and directions from Iran and their syrian allies. Why not have a referendum on this?

Thumb cedre 16:31 ,2014 آذار 01

it's not religious at all, just using shia religion and people's feelings.

Southern. Mowaten. Where are you?

Do you agree?

Lebanon is worthless without the resistance? Wouhahahahahha

I wonder how you will rationalize this one.

Thumb _mowaten_ 20:26 ,2014 آذار 01

no actually i dont agree with what he said here. that's just his opinion.

Thumb _mowaten_ 20:29 ,2014 آذار 01

he think he went a bit too far. lebanon (or a great part of it at least) would have been been colonized by israelis since the 90s if it werent for the people who resisted, and today we'd probably be an easy target for the islamic caliphate fanatics without HA...

ut to say lebanon is worthless without the resistance is a step too far in my opinion.

Thumb _mowaten_ 20:30 ,2014 آذار 01

*I think he went a bit too far.

Thumb lebanon_first 20:38 ,2014 آذار 01

Mowaten. "colonized"? I dont think so. Is Egypt colonized? Is jordan colonized?

Right now we are more colonized by iran than we would have been by israel.

Thumb general_puppet 22:06 ,2014 آذار 01

Really momo, you think he went a bit too far??? Qassem is a low down traitor, he is constantly making speeches bad mouthing Lebanon and praising Iran he talks like the Glorious militia are the overlords of Lebanon.

Thumb _mowaten_ 23:05 ,2014 آذار 01

thanks for the clarification about the quote, lebanon_first.

about Egypt and Jordan the cases are different:
there is less interest in Egypt (unless they reach the Nile, it's pretty much a desert all the way), and it's a much bigger chunk, harder to chew for israel, they had very heavy losses in the Sinai. that's why they backed off
as for Jordan, it HAS been colonized already, by expelled Palestinians. something like 70% of the population there is Palestinian & naturalized Palestinians. Jordanians have become a minority in their own country! that was the price to pay for "peace", they're simply finished...

Thumb _mowaten_ 23:05 ,2014 آذار 01

Lebanon however has everything that israel wants: rich water resources, nice hills, a beautiful coast, a small divided population and no military dissuasion. they were already making plans on which parts they'd take, which ones they'd use to park Palestinians, which bits they'd leave to some Christians, and how they would displace Shias to Iraq (surely you know about the kissinger plan) it was all too good to be true, a nice cake they were salivating on, until they choked on a bone. ;)

Thumb lebanon_first 08:48 ,2014 آذار 02

Mowaten. The scenario u described applied before 1982. Not after.

But for the sake of argument, imagine the scenario happened. To live under Israeli colonization with stability or under Iranian-Syrian colonization with constant bombs, unrest and humiliation.
Israelis would have stolen our water, Syrians are stealing our water, HA stealing our customs revenue, bloating EDL, humiliating us daily.. which is better?

Pls don't go calling me Zionist etc... I am just bouncing an idea...

Gladly: See, since the official end of the Crips and Bloods beef in California, the West-Side Wiggas have been lacking a legitimate ground for firing their weapons off at somebody, so Syria is as good a turf to fight over as any street corner in LA. Moreover, there is a rather sizeable Armenian disapora in Northern Syria (especially in Aleppo), so it's logical that trigger-happy Armenians from 'Frisco should come to defend their own. What, you thought Hizb has a monopoly on that sort of logic?

You and your terror sectarian party are worthless. You are alien to our way of life, to norms, to values, and human decency. Lebanon existed long before you appeared on the scene under orders from your Farsi masters. Lebanon will exist long after you and your likes are gone and dumped in the History's ugliest pages. I long to see the day when you and your terror party are eradicated from Lebanese life.

we have said all along that HA wont be disarming any time soon nor they are willing to give up it is weapon. What they say seems to be logical if they have all of the the population behind them-Thier weapons have become a source of discomfort to many lebanese and if they havent realized this by now, then there is something really wrong with them .

While one can't argue that any population/country have the right to liberate thier land, this is not the case now.

I dont think the isrealis are stupid enough to start a war with anyone if they dont have too. They are a small population and anything they do to presrve their semen to populate will be in thier best interest.

So please shiek naim - no more unworthy statements that no one buys into anymore and be positive dude!

Guys please show some respect! I understand you may not agree with what Sheikh Na3im Qasem said, but still that doesn't give you the right to curse & verbally abuse aninfluentional & important figure within the Lebanese political arena. I totally agree with some comments - before 1982, Lebanon did exist! But it's existence primarily stationed around the "strength of Lebanon is in its weakness" formula!! Now, in my opinion, Lebanon is strong (regionally) due to power hezbollah granted the state! Here i mean the balance of power. For those who disagree with me, plz reply with respect.. thx

Default-user-icon elie (ضيف) 20:12 ,2014 آذار 01

Strength can be quite illusive. North Korea is very strong, but at high cost to its population.

Missing forces 23:43 ,2014 آذار 01

h.mousawy
the only regional consideration granted to Lebanon is that it is harbouring a terrorist organisation, and that this organisation has successfully intergrated itself by force or otherwise into the political arena. this perception is also to the detriment of Lebanon as there is a presumption hezb enjoys political and popular support(influential & important figure), again by force or otherwise.Who appointed hezb granter of power to the state? as for your "strength through it's weakness" never before has Lebanon been weaker and the weakness is foreign born and breeding on our soil. That is why this man has not earned the right of respect.

Ya Sheykh Kassem, if Lebanon as you say is worthless, it's thanks to you, people like you and the thing you still insist in calling a resistance. If it's this bad, then you are most welcome to leave, then within 24 hours, Lebanon will rise in all its glory. There was once a plague called the PLO, it's now gone, but you were quick to replace it and be even as bad if not a lot worse. All this about resiting Israel was all a plot to engrain yourselves into the system. You messed this country upside down, you drove a brother against his own, you've done everything in total disregard to all the laws and the constitutuion of the land of the land, all against the wishes of the majority of the people, now you want to tell us that we Lebanese are worthless with the plague that is you and your militia?!! Trust me, no one is holding from leaving, leave but go, and leave us in peace, we will shine and rise like never before. Go wou 7ell 3an dahrnah.

Bigjohn - there was no israeli attempt at an invasion. The major push was at the end of the war and they reached the Litany within one day. It is true that they suffered significant casualties but the reality is if they were willing to pay 1000+ death, they will be able to crush the Hizb. With regard to the rest of the arab armies, they lack training and leadership. Also, take the example of the Syrian regime whose primary task is to defend the regime and nott the nation.

In my opinion the election are not the answer to the question if we should allow one particular group outside of state control to be armed. The elections is about a variety of things. Economy, welfare systems, environmental issues etc etc.... In countries like Switzerland who have free and fair elections they still make referendums for questions of national importance. Hizbollahs weapons and the advantages (?) and disadvantages IS such a question. If Hizbollah with their allies is so sure of winning the elections, why not follow that up with such a referendum to put it behind any doubt that this is what the majority of Lebanese wants?

I think what Mr. Kassem means is that Lebanon without the faux status of serving as the haven for a faux "resistance" is worthless to the likes of himself and his fellow travelers in the criminal enterprise known as "Hezbollah". This is true of course. Lebanon has value only in that it gives the cloak and the appearance of a sovereign state that will countenance the existence of a criminal enterprise on its soil and even let it into the government.

Thumb beiruti 18:32 ,2014 آذار 02

Of course, Lebanon has value and worth to the Lebanese if Mr. Kassem and those like him find some other place that they find worthy other than Lebanon.
