الجيش يتحضّر لـ"ساعة الصفر" في البقاع

تنطلق الخطة الامنية لمنطقة البقاع الشمالي في "الساعات المقبلة"، بعد ان دخلت خطة طرابلس الامنية حيّز التنفيذ يوم الثلاثاء الفائت.
ونقلت صحيفة "الجمهورية"، الجمعة، عن مصادر أمنية مطلعة ان الخطة المقررة للبقاع الشمالي تلي مرحلة انتشار الجيش في جرود عرسال والقرى المحيطة باللبوة والهرمل والقصر وصولاً إلى بعلبك.
ولفتت الى ان عملها يقوم على محاصرة عصابات سرقة السيارات وبيعها للتفخيخ ولأغراض أخرى، والشبكات التي تمارس الخطف مقابل فدية ماليّة.
في شباط الفائت، كشفت معلومات صحافية عن وجود عدد من الاشخاص يشكلون عصابة لسرقة السيارات من لبنان وتهريبها الى سوريا حيث تُفخّخ على ان يتم تفجيرها في وقت لاحق في لبنان أو في سوريا.
وشهدت منطقة البقاع وبعلبك، في الآونة الأخيرة، سلسلة من عمليات الخطف مقابل فدية.
يُذكر ان "لواء أحرار السُنّة ـ بعلبك"، حذّر الخميس، الجيش من "التهوّر وتكبير الرأس"، معتبراً ان "للخطة الأمنية أهدافاً خبيثة". وأشار إلى ان الخطة "من إنتاج حزب الله وإيران، وهدفُها الرئيسي تحجيم أهل السُنّة".
يوم الثلاثاء، انتشر الجيش اللبناني في طرابلس، حيث عمل على ازالة الدشم والمتاريس، والقى القبض على عدد من المسلحين، في حين تمكن عدد بعض قادة المحاور من الهرب من المدينة. وجرت مصالحة بين اهالي باب التبانة وجبل محسن، حيث جرى توزيع للحلوى.

The Palestinian camps would be hell for the army if they were to try to do anything to them. It's too crowded to move in with more than two soldiers at a time, too many turns, corners, buildings, balconies, and others that the Palestinians know all too well.
Hopefully the army will continue as it is now.

Nothing is hard for our army if it enjoys the support of the Lebanese and more importantly receive firm orders and firm unconditional support from our government
Moreover keeping the Palestinian camps armed and NOT under our control is an insult to Lebanese sovereignty coupled with these camps are infested with terrorists

Why don't you deploy in brital? I agree that you deploy in the regions where there might be Sunni thugs. But why don't you deploy in regions where there definitely are shia thugs?

Southern. I am 100% for this plan. But the kidnappers of the 10 y.o. from Zahleh are known and are from Brital.
The plan is for arresting car bomb perpetrators AND kidnappers. read line number 9 of the article.
The issue is that the Brital thugs which have been around for a decade have political cover. We all know this. And as an independant observer, I tell you it is UNFAIR.

FT I know abt article. Good move for the anti drug bureau. But I am not much interested in the arrest of a drug dealer, those who want to take drugs it is their problem.
I am interested in the arrest of the gang who kidnapped the innocent 10 y. o. from Brital. These thugs were not arrested because of political cover. And this is totally unacceptable.

Southern, though I am not disputing your opinion, yet, only when all areas, including those still controlled by Hezbollah and Amal return fully back under the control of the state and this among others and not only to areas predominantly Shiite, will peace be consolidated and made to endure. But also remember that nothing can be achieved until Hezbollah disarms and returns back to the fold. There cannot be a state within the state, either it's all about militias and anarchy, or just the state, period.

It wasn't done months ago because the takfiris inside syria all along the lebanese border needed to suffer the crushing defeat at the hands of HA and the syrian army before the lebanese army could carry out this security plan. m14 have realized the ploy to bring down HA through the back door of syria is over. Lebanon can hopefully move forward now.

Good work LAF, this is the way to go, because several areas were out of your control, the country looked like a no-man's land. Enter all areas of Lebanon, cleanse them all and without any distinction, and let peace return. But remember, the border with Syria too, close it.

the thing is FD that you base your opinion about Ha on what you see but disregard what you don't. what you see is just the image HA wants to give while the most dangerous parts are hidden... in that they are NO different than any other fanatic groups.... but they are smarter in order to have a foothold in lebanon and know how to play on people's feelings... just have a look on history you'll discover that ALL extremists and dictators said and acted the very same way hezbollah does ....
