أفادت معلومات صحافية عن "برودة لافتة في العواصم الإقليمية والدولية المعنية بالملف الرئاسي اللبناني".
وأفادت مصادر مطلعة في حديث لصحيفة "الأنباء" الكويتية نشر الأحد، الى أن"واشنطن وباريس تريدان إنجاز الاستحقاق الرئاسي في موعده الدستوري، إلا أنهما لن يدخلا في لعبة الأسماء، وان السعودية ليست بعيدة عن هذا المناخ".
وأكدت أن القول إن "باريس أو السفير الأميركي في لبنان أكدا موافقتهما على انتخاب (رئيس تكتل "التغيير والإصلاح") النائب ميشال عون رئيسا، هو من ضمن إشاعات لا علاقة لها بالوقع، فباريس وواشنطن مصرتان على ألا يكون هناك فراغ في وقت استبعدت المصادر إياها أن يكون هناك صفقة بين الرئيس سعد الحريري وعون وحزب الله حول رئاسة عون".
المصادر أبدت اعتقادها بأن أي تدخل خارجي لن يتم في الوقت الراهن حتى تنضج "الطبخة الداخلية"، ويكتمل المشهد وضوحا، مضيفة أن "هذا القرار تجمع عليه جميع الدول المعنية بالملف اللبناني التي ليست بوارد الدخول على خط الاستحقاق الرئاسي إلا عندما تشعر بأن هذا الاستحقاق دخل مرحلة الخطر".
ورأت المصادر عينها أن "حياكة الانتخابات الرئاسية تتم بعناية فائقة، وجرس جلسة الانتخاب لن يُقرع قبل بلوغ التفاهمات السياسية المسبقة حول صورة الرئيس المقبل".
يُشار الى انه في 25 آذار بدأت المهلة الدستورية لانتخاب رئيس جديد خلفا للرئيس ميشال سليمان الذي تنتهي ولايته في 25 أيار المقبل، الذي يرفض التمديد له.
يذكر أن رئيس "القوات اللبنانية" سمير جعجع قد أعلن ترشيحه للانتخابات الرئاسية.

why would they do that? that's why I'm trying hard to convince France Lol. Don't worry my people, I will succeed. My strong points in the negotiations are:
- the Lebanese are the smartest people on earth. We have the FT's the FD's, the late josephani, the southerners, the movaten's the kakas ...etc.
- Every few years we manage and by miracles to destroy and then rebuild our country.
- Lebanon has a strong economy, we just bought 3 billions worth of arms.

Wlek Sierra Leone would not dare to annex us even if we offered to pay them to do so. It is like trying to take over an insolvent company with no chance of turnaround and absolutely no assets.
Lebanon is a basket case, and we are responsible for that.

I'm afraid that it is a realistic view of our state of affairs: it seems that half of the population cheers for a guy who can't quite make up his mind whether he is a Lebanese citizen or a Saudi subject; the other half cheers for a medieval brute who gets his moral compass from an Iranian looney who codified, among other things the halal way to fart (look it up).
The 10452 in my handle is a desperate yearning for a society as envisaged by Bashir Gemayel. But for every passing day, it looks more and more like a pipe dream.
