سليمان: لرئيس يكمل مسيرتي

أكد رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان أن أكثر ما آذاه خلال ولايته هو عدم الاقتناع بالديموقراطية من بعض الأفرقاء، مردفاً أنه يرغب برئيس يكمل مسيرته.
واشار سليمان في حديث لصحيفة "النهار"، الخميس، الى انه بعد انتهاء ولايته يزمع "متابعة الودائع التي وضعتها" خلال هذه الولاية.
وإذ أكد أنه يرغب في وصول "رئيس للجمهورية يكمل ما بدأته"، أوضح أنه يجب استكمال السير بإعلان بعبدا والاستراتيجية الدفاعية وانشاء مجموعة الدعم الدولية والهبة السعودية المهمة لدعم الجيش والمحافظة على السياسة الخارجية وفق القسم على الدستور.
و لم يخف رئيس الجمهورية اعتزازه بالتزامه منذ ما قبل سنتين رفض تمديد ولايته، راغباً "في تحرير نفسه والمحيطين به من مستشارين ومساعدين وفي تحرير عائلته"، مبدياً أسفه "للإحتمال الكبير لعدم حصول تسليم وتسلم بينه وبين خلفه".
وبالنسبة لسعي البطريرك الماروني الكاردينال مار بشارة بطرس الراعي الى التمديد، فأدرجه سليمان في اطار حرص البطريرك على تجنب الفراغ والحض على انتخاب رئيس جديد.
ولفت الى أن ما"أكثر ما آذاه خلال ولايته هو عدم الاقتناع بالديموقراطية وممارساتها الطوعية". وقال:غيروا مفهوم الانتخاب حين قالوا إن التعطيل حق ديموقراطي".
من جهتها، لفتت صحيفة "الجمهورية"، الخميس الى أن الأوساط تنتظر مضمون خطاب الوداع الذي سيلقيه سليمان ظهر يوم السبت المقبل في قصر بعبدا أمام نخبةٍ من الرسميين والديبلوماسيين، يتقدّمهم رئيسا المجلس والحكومة والوزراء والنوّاب الحاليّون والسابقون الذين تولّوا المسؤولية في حكومات عهده، إضافةً إلى رجال الإقتصاد والمال والإعلام والمجتمع المدني.
وأضافت أن سليمان سيخصّص جزءاً كبيراً من الخطاب لإجراء جَردة العهد على كلّ المستويات السياسية والأمنية والإدارية، وما تحَقّق منها وما يمكن أن يكون بمثابة الأمانة يودعها لدى الرئيس الخَلف.
وسيؤكّد مجدّداً الثوابت السياسية التي أرساها في السياسة الخارجية التي تضمن حماية لبنان من تردّدات ما يجري في المنطقة، وتضمن استمرار التوافق الدولي على أمنه واستقراره وسيادته وثرواته الاقتصادية، بحسب الصحيفة.
يشار الى أن فشل النواب في انتخاب رئيس جديد خلال ثلاثة جلسات انتخابية دعا اليها رئيس المجلس نبيه بري، فضلاً عن تأكيد رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان في أكثر من مناسبة رفضه التمديد وأنه سيكون في منزله في 25 ايار، اذ ان ولايته تنتهي في 24 الجاري وسيلقي خطاب الوداع في هذا اليوم، أديا الى تخوّف من الفراغ في سدة الرئاسة الاولى.

FT, I am here in total disagreements with you. Declarations that enslaved an entire nation by previous kneelers can only be healed by breaking them altogether, just like that lame protocol that gave Syria rights over our Aassi river. Then Suleiman did not beg, no brother, he did NOT beg, he is a respected leader who commands respect, unlike Aoun who so far still cannot shake the suspicions hovering over his head. I am taking this opportunity like no other before it, to dig as deep as anyone of you wants, to find one single shred of evidence to pin one single blame of corruption on Suleiman. The only thing you guys at M8 have on him, is his steadfastness in standing up to the ruthless bulldozer known as Hezbollah, Suleiman does not accept red lines, any red lines, and that's all you people have on him, and so much the better.
