We met today under extraordinary circumstances that we had warned about since the start of the Syrian conflict.
You and HA are responsible for what is happening in Lebanon and should be held accountable for all your actions....
I'm not musilm and even born christian i'm a very secular person, but i prefer dying to be again under syrian egemony (added to hezbollah full control of our state)...
Once again aoun is readdy to sell all lebanon for the peesidency chair... I wonder where is the guy that use to shout all day long that he was the father and the grandfather of 1559....
Tfou
Help from the Butcher of Syria? The Syrian people do not hate us enough for allowing a sectarian militia (in the name of Hezbollah). Institute national draft and a national reserve and spend the money to have a real army. Disarm all militias including the Hizb that brought us the disaster we have been living in.
“Now is not the time to hold officials of the previous administration responsible for their actions,” he said.
Well said Der General - considering that it was you and your allies the Iranian Occupation Forces who were running the previous administration.
Incredible! It takes a clAoun to have the audacity to "warn against negotiating with terrorists" and beg to negotiate with Baschar in the same sentence.
Funny!
aoun does not want to negotiate with terrorists, but wants to negotiate with a terrorist state that killed more Lebanese than Israel!
aoun seems to have forgotten what terrorist attacks samaha was preparing for his masters!
aoun is no different than samaha.
What's wrong with distributing aid to the Syrian People? Does that give you and hezbollah the right to invade Syria? I would even go further than that and say (although not true) that Oqab was sending arms to Syria. So what? Does that give the party that claims resistance to get involved? Nasrallah said it out loud sequentially : we are not in Syria; We are in small numbers there; We are protecting shia villages; We are protecting shia shrines in Damascus; We are there to prevent the downfall of the Syrian Regime, and last We are there to fight terrorism.
Ft so your argument is that two wrongs make a right? It's like saying the Lebanese forces should arm themselves again since HA has arms no?
Aoun is correct in saying politicians should be held accountable for their actions but is should direct this at everyone including himself and Ha. That would have made him a little more credible in my eye, especially now is a time to be united behind the army and it's decisions not political point scoring.
Ask Aoun if Oqab Saqr is also distributing aid to Iraq;)?! Are there lebanese villages HA wants to protect in Iraq or Yemen.... mon général, respect people's minds, I beg you.
I am not sure if you know my views. I support the army 100% and my cousin is an officer fighting now in Arsal ( we pray for him every minute ). But here is my question: Previous governments and specifically the Aoun-HA government agreed on the dissociation policy. The Army takes its orders from the political leadership and should have implemented this policy on the ground. The Army hierarchy did not do that. Instead it facilitated HA transfer of weapons and men across the border and turned a blind eye to it. Now, our army is a target for these terrorists and Aoun is telling me HA did not bring these stone aged people to Lebanon.
Good point galaxy... I wish more people could use logic.. Not only chupachups (aka southern, flame...)
Does Mr. ex general have any solutions on how to free the 20 plus soldiers captured by these terrorists. He blames, complains, and lies and then some more. Look in the mirror, traitor.
“MP Oqab Saqr was distributing aid to the Syrian people before the party became involved in Syria.”
Correction
“MP Oqab Saqr was distributing WEAPONS to the Syrian REBELS before the party became involved in Syria.”
in december 2011, qaeda was already in arsal
http://www.naharnet.com/stories/en/23982
m14 slammed ghosn for saying it, prefering instead to close their eyes and let the situation rot. now they blame HA for the consequences of their complicity and cowardliness
i dont care about "comparing", it is a very simple matter:
when you arm and finance groups in syria, you can't come later and complain that others interfered. m14 interfered first, they should keep it zipped.
beside that, HA's involvement is not a response to m14's involvement, it is a response to a direct threat which m14 pretends to ignore, and that is today unfolding in arsal.
the people of arsal are the first victims, they are paying the price of their leadership's complicity.

"Nous avons l'impression que la majorité des habitants de Ersal sont favorables à cette intervention de l'armée. Ils regrettent qu'une minorité, menée par leur président du conseil municipal et un cheikh, tous deux en fuite dans le jurd aujourd'hui, les aient impliqués dans ce combat pour une poignée d'argent. "
You are contradicting your Nasrallah. He said HA went there to protect shias and Asasd regime. He did not say HA went there because M14 went first. LOL
congrats ex-fpm! you managed to simultaneously be wrong on both what nasrallah said and what i said.
and anonyme please take a break with your daily inventions. since when is bashar "not allowing them to return"?
anonyme you jump from an observation (yet to be verfied) that refugees have not returned, to a purely biased interpreatation (completely unverified) that bashar is not letting them return.
there can be a thousand reasons for this, people could be still afraid that the situation is not stable, beheaders still roaming the countrysides, some might have lost everything and dont have much to go back to, some might have gotten comfortable with NGO aid in lebanon... etc etc...
i dont pretend any or all of these reasons are actually the ones, just giving you examples of possible reasons.
you just jumped to the one that suited your imagination and storytelling "bashar is not letting them"
“Now is not the time to hold officials of the previous administration responsible for their actions, we should no longer run away from our duties, but we must face the repercussions of the Syrian crisis.”
Ahh so the senile demagogue little army deserter agrees at last with us that his ten ministers in the Hezbollah government and the rest of the motley crew ran away from their duties. OK so running away is in the FPM's charter but his ten ministers should be for all Lebanese. I hope when this is over he will tell us when will the time be right to hold the previous administration responsible for this effing mess.
who is shifting blame? LOL
as for the UN, they can go count their toes. no patriotic lebanese would agree to have foreign powers controlling our borders.
“Negotiating with Syria falls in the interests of all sides,”
but the it was the Syrians who always refused to demarcate and control the border
but you and your hezb agreed that foreign powers protect our borders in the SOUTH. Consistency in patriotism is cool;)
the situation in the south is several decades old, it is not being proposed today.
also, there is no crossing there, it is a shut border with our enemy. whereas the border with syria is not shut, syria is not our enemy, and people crossing between syria and lebanon should not have to go through foreign soldiers.
mowaten, I thought you were smarter than that. You are worried about our people going thru foreign soldiers. Ok, we will have Lebanese soldiers at the Masnaa and other legal crossings. How naive!
i love aoun, he is admitting himself that he is a traitor.
BTw smart maneuver, he knows HizbIran doesnt want him as president so he is asking directly to Bashar, the guy he accused of killing Rafic Hariri
http://youtu.be/XCltslVqsM4
But as flamethrower always says: "Contexts change; Situations change" and what was said a few years ago is no longer valid. Did I answer your query now. I hope
When you are desperate.... for a job... you do whatever it takes....why are you surprised? This guy fled Baabda - as a military person / not as a civilian - to be harboured by the French - leaving the elite Army brigade to be slaughtered by the Assad's thugs...
jerry No! @citymowaten was one of the very and earl few who broke through syrian intelligence barriers and the ISF back in 2005 in search of freedom.
Clearly your too stupid to read, let along debate. Hell, you can't even recognize the difference between followers and supporters as you use them interchangeably. I stated I don't follow, I support and you respond by calling me a coward who does not claim I support. I think you need to go and look up the definition of debate, as clearly you have no clue of its meaning. This my Australian jackass was a vile exchange between two people who hate each other and not a "debate" you monumental moron!
To follow is what you do with CLAoun. You never questions, just obey! To support is to back. The difference is a support will challenge a candidate when they disagree, a follower does not think for himself and obeys. I don't hate you because of your political views, I hate you because of who you are when you claim you are "debating" when in fact you are condescending and demeaning. Just as an FYI, debates are civil. There is nothing civil about any of your "debates". As for my life, I am quite content with it but thanks for the advise. Now, go look up the meaning of "debate" so you can improve on your "debating". Maybe had you been decent enough to approach me a little differently in your first comment to me, we may have actually had a debate. Coward!
Where did I ever flip flop? What lies or propaganda did I use? Point one it! that's what you have to tell yourself to believe you are right and I am the weak human being? What a joke! As I sated before, somehow you are under the impression that the world revolves around you. Your respect means absolutely nothing to me. It carries absolutely no value whatsoever. So I suggest you save it for someone who cares.
Southerner,
I am still siding with the army even though it is somewhat controlled by HA. You are siding with the army only because it is somewhat controlled by HA. To say it explicitly, when the army fights HA you will side with HA.
And why do we need to negotiate with Damascus to control our side of the border?
The answer is because Damascus does not allow Lebanon to be a Sovereign State, running for President of Syria)Baathist of Syria perceive Lebanon is part of Syria...... and he wants to be a President of a Sovereign Lebanon (he is better off running for President of Syria .... but then Bachar would kill him)
Syntax error above, part of sentence wass imbed in wrong place. It should read: "..... Damascus does not allow Lebanon to be a Sovereign State because the Syrian regime considers Lebanon as part of Syria ....."
Roar the phenician, we miss u in lebanon, i told u ur perfect place is here ur wisdom can be of great help, please come back...
Today we are in a situation where Assad, Nasrallah and Aoun are the good bad guys.
ISIL, Al Nusrah, Wahabism and Qatar are the bad bad guys.
Hamas is a poor good ex bad but will be bad again guy,
And March 14 are poor good good byes.
The Lebanese Army is the only very good good good guys, dying for our security and freedom. God bless our heroes!
“History will not be forgiving with any side that negotiates with terrorists,” he cautioned.
Seems like he's talking about himself, as he signed a Memorandum of Undermining the State with a group of terrorists.
Daaesh, alnusrah, and similar groups endanger some areas in Lebanon. I hope all Lebanese unite in backing the army and only the army to secure the sovereignty all over Lebanon.
Aoun the ClAoun is much WORSE than ISIL, He is endangering all the country
Hello Liberty
How are you?
Can you please or can someone please explain to Aoun that he will never be President. I mean what would it take to make this Lunatic and traitor that he will NEVER be president so he has to quit screwing the country
Why don't you try to negotiate the release of hundreds of Lebanese soldiers in Syrian jails ya general ya kbir inte?
