طائرة لـ"الميدل ايست" تهبط اضطراريا في روما بعد انذار خاطىء بوجود قنبلة

اضطرت طائرة تابعة لشركة طيران الشرق الأوسط للهبوط ظهر الاحد في مطار روما - فيوميتشينو على اثر انذار خاطىء بوجود قنبلة على متنها، ما سبب توقفا موقتا لحركة الملاحة الجوية في اكبر مطارات روما، كما افادت وسائل الاعلام.
والطائرة، وهي من طراز ايرباص 320 تابعة لشركة طيران الشرق الاوسط (الميدل ايست)، كانت تقوم برحلة بين جنيف وبيروت عندما جاء انذار من سويسرا ومفاده انه تم رصد حقيبة لا تعود لاي من الركاب على متنها، بحسب صحيفة كوريري دي لا سيرا.
وبما ان الطائرة كانت تحلق فوق الاراضي الايطالية عندما اطلق الانذار، فقد تم تكليف طائرتين حربيتين ايطاليتين بمواكبتها حتى مطار روما.
لكن تدخل الطائرتين الحربيتين الايطاليتين اثار في المقابل قلق السكان في محيط روما لانهما خرقتا جدار الصوت للوصول بأسرع ما يمكن الى الطائرة ، وفقا للمصدر نفسه.
وحطت الايرباص على احد المدارج الثانوية في المطار ونزل منها الركاب للسماح لخبراء نزع الالغام باجراء تفتيش دقيق ومفصل لم يسمح في العثور على اي متفجرات.
لاحقا، أوضحت دائرة العلاقات العامة في الـ"الميدل ايست" ما جرى في بيان صادر عنها، قائلة أن "الخبر عار عن الصحة".
وقالت أن "كل ما في الامر ان الطائرة التابعة لشركة طيران الشرق الاوسط التي كانت قادمة من جنيف الى بيروت تبين عدم وجود احد الركاب على متنها الذي كان قد حجز مقعدا على متنها وأنجز معاملات سفره في جنيف، وبعد تبيان ذلك قام قائد الطائرة بالهبوط في مطار روما احترازيا.ط
وقد تم تفتيش الطائرة بدقة حيث لم يعثر فيها بحسب البيان على اي أثر للقنبلة وقد أقلعت الطائرة منذ قليل رحلتها باتجاه بيروت".

No, they meant from Geneva to Beirut. The plane landed in passing in Rome, because these days, understandably, airlines get nervous when something is not exactly as previewed, and when no threat was detected, it continued on its way, back to the MEA's hub in Beirut. Geddit?

The flight BEY-GVA-BEY is code shared with Air Canada connecting pax between Beirut and Montreal via Geneva. Sometimes connection can be short if the Air Canada flight lands a bit delayed. Pax. have to go through security before boarding another flight.Maybe one of them did not make it on time, took more time at security, got lost, or lost in shopping at duty free while his/her luggage got transferred to the MEA flight to Beirut. The boarding agents at the MEA flight should have offloaded that person's baggage and that did not happen!as they are not sure whether the passenger simply missed his flight, or ran away last minute before boarding knowing that there are explosives in his luggage. That issue was discovered after the plane took off (big mistake) MEA informed, Swiss authorities informed, plane asked to land immediately to check the luggage.nothing was found.That was the mistake of the SWISS agents at Geneva airport.
