الحريري في الذكرى العاشرة لـ14 آذار: حماية الاستبداد ليست السبيل الصحيح لمحاربة الاٍرهاب
Read this story in English

And Mr. Hariri is right here, in 2005 we were achieving at long last our independence and a Lebanon for all the Lebanese, irrespective of creed, gender, race, sect, social status or political ideology. Alas, and I say it with the utmost profoundity, that it took what was once deemed a noble, respected, loved and dignified resistance called Hezbollah to remind us that we were not yet out of the woods and that the legacy of Syrian occupation will remain through their presence (HA's). Hezbollah has for sure shown us the horrors of Syrian ruthlessness, we saw it, we've lived it and we're still living it. yet the worst nightmare is coming from the fact that we Lebanese will have to fight it tough to get full Independence and sovereignty, how, only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, we've two options, either Hezbollah does things peacefully and in accordance with the law and the constitution or we shall wait for its demise.
Before giving his "precious advice" to the world, Mr Hariri should start by fighting tyranny in his own country: Saudi Arabia.
And if there is one thing that the date being celebrated reminds us, it is that Bashar Assad's Syria went out of Lebanon rapidly and peacefully when we all asked them to.
yes thanks to you mowaten resisting the Syrian occupation and breaking through Syrian and ISF intelligence barriers in search of freedom while risking your life. We owe it to you mowaten now the Syrians are out of Lebanon. It is also the reason why on March 8 you marched in downtown and said "Shoukran Souria".
(2). Mowaten. We hoped to be united until Sayed Hassan reminded us that this was not to be. May I also remind you that Michel Aoun said it loud and clear, that HE was the mother, the dad and the creator of M14, sadly when he still had an ounce of brains up there, till you guys came and bereft him of all common sense. Well, the ruthless Syrian occupier was booted out, only to be replaced by a resistance turned mercenary militia, but your day too will come if you seem to forget.
(1). Mowaten. Advice needs to be given to almost every single Lebanese politician from A to Z not just Saad Hariri but all and this including Sayed Hassan. Then truly sorry to tell you this: the Syrians did not leave peacefully as you said, they left because of the massive fallout of their assassination of Mr. Rafic Hariri, the Syrians never could believe that their coy and arrogant stupidity could bring about so much international pressure. Then I'd like to coin a phrase from Libonase where he said that and I quote, "The picture above reminds me of how great we lebanese can be when we show solidarity.." unquote.
I don't think Saad Hariri needs an advise from an Iranian terrorist who belongs to a miracle of the iranian revolution.
Phoenix everybody needs advice, and this is why they all have advisers, but not everybody can give advice, especially not Hariri and especially not on terrorism and tyrany given his allegiance to the kings of Wahhabi obscurantism, who are themselves tyrants and sponsors of terrorism and terrorist ideology.
As for Syrians leaving, no matter how you wish to turn it or explain it with underlying reasons, it was PEACEFUL. Even assuming the reasons you claim (which I do not agree on) for the departure, was a shot fired? Did they attack protesters? Did they have to be forcefully removed? No, and therefore it was PEACEFUL.
Finally, regarding your rant on Aoun and Nasrallah I can only disregard it because it is disconnected from logic and reality. (unless you specifically tell me when and how Nasrallah said he didn't want unity, and tell me how exactly someone can "bereft someone of all common sense").
As for my day, yes it will come, like it will come for all of us, so what is your point? Or maybe was that meant as a threat? Either way I am not worried.
momo- do you really believe the crap you are typing? did you just use the words peacefully in regards to their occupation? we asked them to leave? We kicked them out! They left unwillingly ghas min 3an ra2bitun wo ra2btik. Seriously you have no shame or morals.
phoenix1 likes Article 24 of the Constitution which gives half of Parliament to the so-called Christians, because this is true equality: the Christian bloc has precisely as many members as everybody else put together. This fulfills the highest aspirations of Christianity, where there is no conflict between faith and reason.
as far as i know your friend aoun always shouted for the removal of the assad family that he labeled as terrorists...
but your memory is very short, a symptom of a mental disease you have.....
We are not Syrians Southy... you seem to forget it at times... unless you are...
"Elected" you say... yeah right!
@ thepatriot : M8ers still believe they are part of syria.... and thus forget about Lebanon and its interests!
no FT liar, NO.... he clearly asked for the removal of the assad family from power .... but of course it is not favorable to your propaganda of the day...
and yes in the 90s who were governing? the syrians... pityful that History again contradicts your lies...
pityful that speeches can still be read or heard to contradict your lies.....
Mowaten, sorry, as for your day, I meant Hezbollah's day. Let us all pray that our souls will be in good state to be received by God.
Sure he was elected but the Syrians out of their free will. I suppose HA want Aoun to be elected the same way (Democratically and according to the Constitution).
If you believe Bashar the dog was freely elected then your are in denial, wasn't saddam also elected with 99.9 percent of the vote, we all know how true that was.
start by banishing all Lebanese politicians who profited and dealt with tyrants for decades just for their own sake do not have right to give lessons in freedom or at least let them give back the money they made with during the Syrian occupation and am sure this money will pay all our billions of debts
god bless democracy
Protecting Tyranny they say? What about the Saudi tyrants that M14 takes their wisdom from?
Hypocrites all of them, all of you.
just ask yourself: has saudi arabie occupied Lebanon for 30 years? has saudi arabia stolen the lebanes etreasury? has saudi arabia erased villages? tortured lebanese? killed lebanese? impose corruption as a model? ... the list can be long...
the answer is NO.... so, saudi may be a dictatorship, may be an extremist islamist country like Iran, but so far your syrian friends harmed Lebanon much more and still have your support.. strange isn't it,
you M8ers have a real short and selective memory....
We (I) never pledged allegiance to the Syrian or Saudi tyrants. You on the other hand are proud of your allegiance to the Iranian tyrant (per your posts). So who is the hypocrite?
The picture above reminds me of how great we lebanese can be when we show solidarity this day march 14 was not about individuals it was about a nation that said we have had enough but alas nobody stood up and lead the way everybody went home back to their old habits following the status quo who are not leaders at all .
libonaise... don't forget the 20 assassinations... "they" blew off the revolution... and we know who's "they"!
Rafic Harriri, BAssel Fleihan, Piere Amin Gemayel, Samir Qasir, George Hawi, Gebran Tueini, Walid Eido, Antoine Ghanem, Francoi Elhajj, Wissam Eid, Wissam El-Hasan, Mohammad Chatah.
Failed attempts: May Chedyak, Marwan Hamade, Botros Harb.
There might be more, but I know I am wasting my time counting them because you can count them just like I can. and YES HA is implicated in each and everyone of the ones I listed.
just ask yourself: has saudi arabie occupied Lebanon for 30 years? has saudi arabia stolen the lebanes etreasury? has saudi arabia erased villages? tortured lebanese? killed lebanese? impose corruption as a model? ... the list can be long...

Mostaqbal had no problems with the Syrians, when they were scoring heavy dollars on the ruins of Lebanon during the Syrian presence.
Building on poor peoples land, buying all of them out with nothing but enough to live for a week. No sympathy for these rich oligarchs.
hey miss tic... then let me refresh your memory by quoting the one you praise aka michel aoun... he said in front of the US senate that even the most honest politician under syrian occupation had to obey or else die.... or was he lying also?
see how you twist history by deliberately forgetting the context to suit your propaganda... but you only fool ignorants like you, not educated and well informed people....
and M8 had also no problem stealing Lebanon under the syrian presence the only difference is that you still want it to continue... yet you never tell about it! pityful brainless sheep....
peas & thezionist excuse me, for my forwardness on this matter. Too bad i wasen't educated enough to fall for your western lies.
Yeah sure, Hariri was a "hero", he build downtown Beirut with Saudi dollars on poor peoples land illegally. Poor people whom endured the civil war, only to have their homes taken from them.
The Mostaqbal did all this under Syrian observation, they were good partners back in the day. The same Syrians they now call tyrants.
On the contrary, you never had a problem with the Syrian occupation not then and not now ..... because your HA is an extension of that occupation and their support is enabling you to continue the stealing.
I would rather side with someone who repented than someone who continues to sin.
yes because if you abide by the lebanese Policy there is the "disassociation Policy" that hezbollah spat on.... hezbollah just went to syria on their own endangering Lebanon and its neutrality in the conflict! if isis are at the doors it is only hezbollah's fault... and their goal together with bashar's one is to drag the lebanese army into the conflict, just to legitimize bashar rule....
Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Around 13,000 Syrians died under torture at Syrian regime jails since the start of the conflict.
that is the regime M8ers praise as a model for Lebanon.....
sure the syrian regime never tortures ma hek? no lebanese were ver tortured and killed in syrian jails ma hek? the syrian regime is just victim of takfiri propaganda i guess....
pityful boy in denial...
do you know that the USA sent prisoners from guantanamo to be interrogated in syria because they are experts in that field...
seems you are just a aouni in denial... pityful boy....
just as i said... syrian corrupted Lebanon to better control it... but while some politicians now want things to change and be totally independant from syria, M8ers still praise this regime and want it to rule Lebanon through their proxies of today...so yes you have selective memory...
you M8ers always focus on present M14 leaders that were with the syrians at the time, (while never insisting on M8 leaders that also benefited hugely from the syrians! how convenient...) they changed now but M8ers still are under syran influence and lick their boots...and do not want a free independant Lebanon but one still ruled by syria...
Geagea is and will always be a thorn in your side and the side of all you Iranian/Syrian bootlickers.
Mystic, make room on that avatar of yours, there is plenty more to come, when are you gonna add Meghnieh jounior? Lol.
