المطارنة الموارنة: لتجنيب لبنان مخاطر المنطقة بإنتخاب رئيس

شدد المطارنة الموارنة على اهمية الاسراع في انتخاب رئيس للجمهورية، من أجل تجنّب التطورات "الخطيرة" التي تشهدها المنطقة من حولنا.
وفي بيان صادر عن المطارنة اثر اجتماعهم الدوري الشهري في بكركي برئاسة البطريرك الماروني الكاردينال مار بشارة بطرس الراعي، دعوا الى "انتخاب رئيس للجمهورية في أسرع وقت بسبب الأخطار المحيطة بلبنان".
ولفتوا الى وجوب "الا يبقى لبنان مبتور الرئيس ولا يقوى على مواجهة المستقبل لتسلم الجمهورية".
ودعوا "الكتل السياسية والنيابية الى حزم امرها واحترام الدستور"، وذلك بدلاً "من القاء التهم على بعض".
ويعيش لبنان فراغاً رئاسياً منذ أيار الفائت، بسبب رفض الرئيس السابق ميشال سليمان تمديد ولايته وفشل النواب في التوافق على اسم رئيس. ووفق الدستور فإن الحكومة تتولى صلاحيات رئاسة الجمهورية. ويتّبع سلام مبدأ توقيع "كل الوزراء" على الملفات.

@whyaskwhy, I do agree, and as you know, as far as Aoun is concerned, I have nothing but hatred for this man. However it might help to note that for some time now, Aoun and Geagea, and by denomination the FL and the FPM are holding high level talks together to end their longstanding disputes, find common ground, agree on a compromise presidential candidate and several other issues of concern. Even though I still hold a lot of doubt, distrust and animosity towards Aoun, deep at heart I am praying that the dialog between these two old arch enemies ends soon and gives us and all the Lebanese that much needed fresh breath of air. let's keep our fingers crossed, maybe the toes as well.

Flamethrower my friend I feel your pain and agree with you completely. It is disheartening how the FPM disavowed themselves of everything they once stood for. After they discarded the promises they made in their 2005 Orange policy book by amending then entirely removing it from the website, the powers behind the Tayyar.org revamped their website and chose to remove the archival materials repudiating the 25 year of history that not longer matches their current positions. But you and I still remember. I guess the effects of replacing Nassif Azzi with Bassam Hashem at the of helm the FPM media eventually had to yield these results. Cheers!
As the old adage goes, you can run but you cannot hide, pluging any of the abive quotes in the search or the Tayyar forum will give up some rewarding results such as..
