ذكرت تقارير صحافية أن دولة قطر أوكلت الى الجماعة الإسلامية مهمة صرف مكرمة أميرية لتمويل تعليم أبناء عدد من أنصار الشيخ أحمد الأسير المتوارين والموقوفين.
وكشفت صحيفة "الأخبار" عن «توجيهات قطرية أعطيت للجماعة الإسلامية بتسجيل أبناء الأسيريين في ثانوية الإيمان على نفقة الهيئة الإسلامية للرعاية التابعة للجماعة من أموال قطرية أرسلتها الإمارة لهذه الغاية بمعزل عن المساعدات التي تخصصها للهيئة بشكل دائم».
ومنذ أيام، تتولى لجنة مؤلفة من مشايخ وفاعليات إسلامية صيداوية الاتصال بزوجات الأسيريين وعائلاتهم وتدعوهم لإحضار أبنائهم إلى الثانوية في صيدا لتسجيلهم للعام الدراسي الحالي مجاناً.
