I didn't realize there were two Tuesdays this week. Somebody please increase his meds before he starts lecturing us each day.
@ bandoul
What if you start taking more pills and start getting over "Aoun" complexes that all haters have. Lebanon is a democratic country, so accept the others, and move on ... Medication all needed for people who have hate ,and don't accept others. you may have ur own views, but such silly comments i can say you have Aoun's fever , and u need medications ;)
He's so lonely, the only guy who on a weekly basis moans and goes crazy on tv. Whether in control of the government or not. its like the baby that keeps screaming and complaining and doesnt shutup.
he is preparing his future defeat by making up a new scenario so then he will say : "see i told you they bought the votes to isolate us!"
More lies and lies to collect the three billions from your supporters, it is not enough to risk their future, but striping their money is your goal.
New pajamas will be needed in 2013. They have screwed up so bad they know they are out.
Your enemy? They are your opponents not your enemy you dummy. Shame on you and your inelegance
Scare tactics as during harb el tahrir, to get money from the people once more.... :)
"“We must overcome the blockade and the increasing pressures,” Aoun told the FPMers."
never happy der generaal?
you are in the government no? what blockade are you talking about? you have your hands free to do the reforms you want! it s your government no?
unless your hezbi partners don t let you do what you want?
so if you do a good job you shouldn t be afraid of the elections!
If his enemies have more money then why does the Lebanese Forces not have enough money to start their own Sat TV station but OTV was created out of nowhere?
Regardless of Mr Aoun statement, i believe that anyone who use bribery to corrupt the Lebanese and make them money slaves and eventually traitors should be called "The Public enemy".
If you want to destroy someone’s life you just need to give him money without doing anything. Most of the people enjoy making easy money while forgetting the fact that they have simply sold their souls!!!
lol
why is he saying that 50% of lebanese are his enemy? wallah hayda el zalameh ma byefham chi, khodoo 3al 3asforiyeh
I just love how frustrated you folks are. Not one constructive comment. Ya hek sha3b ya bala!
What a crazy old man who is power hungry. He is after everything tha the accuses others of: corruption. He is a dangerous man who is endangering Lebanon by giving "Christian" cover to the Hezbo wackos and by extension Iran and Syria. I can't believe people actually follow this idiot.
Referring to political rivals as "enemies" is a shame. Aoun, you are the person starting hatred between fellow Lebanese. What a bad example for the youth to throw these words just so you can influence them to your personal goals.
I would like to address the Aounists - the few left... Do you remember Aoun's plan for reforms and political programme in 2005 when he came back? I was almost convinced. I even thought that the pact with the Hezb could produce something good... Well... How fool i was: he is now saying and doing the exact opposite...
Look at him: calling his political opponents enemies. And all is said.
money and power that's the only thing he dreams about!!! i wonder how dumb one should be to still follow this scam!
I would gladely do it for free. Even pay from my own pockets!!!!
Soo looking forwrad to 2013:)
@INcorruptible
Thank you for this clever and constructive comment. Thanks God you are here!
mowaten: let me remind you that M14 won the last elections not because they cheated as you seem to say but according to the election law your friends of M8 imposed thinking it would be at their advantage...
after we all know the whining of M8 bad losers who did every thing they could to stop the governement from working or implementing reforms and now accusing them of having done nothing!
if there is a party that didn t respect the rules of the game it is M8, think about it....
My dear Mowaten. The use of 1960 law was imposed in doha through the use of your resistance weapons. This is a fact not an opinion and when you ignore such basic facts, it means you have no clue about what goes on in Lebanon and when you don't know what's going on how can you forge an opinion?
Mowaten, clearly you are either ignorant or intentionally twisting the facts. M14 won the 2009 elections with majority of the votes. That is why they controlled the majority of seats in Parliament, and that is why they named their Prime Minister. Do you not remember who was the Prime Minister in 2009?
The constitution allows the winner of the elections to name the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. Nevertheless, as a result of the hegemony of militia weapons, the thugs in M8 forced the winners of the elections to accept the Doha accord which allowed the losers of the elections to get 11 seats in the Cabinet. (10 seats of their own, plus one seat supposedly part of the President's share but aligned with Hezbollah).
Lets face it, we all know Hezbollah and M8 killed Hariri, Gemayel, Tueni, Kassir, Hawi, Eid and others. When the 2009 government refused to disavow the STL, that's when M8 forced the collapse of the last government by resigning the Cabinet Ministers that they controlled.
After rethinking, the 11 seats in the Cabinet (10+1) may not have been imposed as a result of the Doha accords, but it was still imposed by the hegemony of militia weapons and threats against the majority. The Doha Accords gave a blocking third to the previous government, and the 2009 government acquiesced after the precedent was made.
With the collapse of the 2009 government, a new majority developed in Parliament due to the flopping of Jumblatt and his bloc. It is widely known that Jumblatt flip flopped as a result of threats made against him.
So your fragile majority in Parliament is not a result of the democratic will of the voters, it is a result of the flip flopping of Jumblatt who was aligned with M14 when the elections were held. The people who voted for him and his block were voting for people aligned with M14.
Jumblatt felt it was better for M8 to be in control of government during this stage, to avoid strife over the STL. But he is already plotting his return to M14.
mowaten, i don t deny the fact you are putting forward but the problem is that M8 demanded that election law but the consequences were not the ones they expected.
so they should have abide by the rules they demanded and not whining about what you said concerning the results! it s called democracy!
the problem with M8 is that when something is not in their interest they block every thing in this country!
they do not want to follow the rules of democracy and accept the results of the electins! in france happened the same thing but the opposition followed the rules even if they kept complaining but they accept the rules of democracy and the imperfections of elections laws!
when nasrallah said that the results don t apply to him does he accept the rules of lebanon? No, as usual...
the day M8 will accept the rules of this country as made in the parliament and not obey their own rules when it suits them then lebanon will progress!
Mowaten, I have a hard time believing that you are naive on this fact, more likely you are being intentionally misleading, or at least your handlers didn't explain this to you.
It is a bit funny that you are quoting a CIA website, no? Weren't your friends shouting "death to Amreeka" recently?
The CIA website counts Jumblatt's bloc as part of M8. Do you remember who Jumblatt's bloc was aligned with at the time of the 2009 elections? The people who voted for Jumblatt and his bloc were voting for M14 candidates at the time of the elections.
Are you playing dumb, or being dumb? Do you not know that M14 controlled the majority in Parliament after the 2009 elections? Do you not remember that Saad Hariri was the Prime Minister after the 2009 elections?
The majority of voters voted for M14 candidates at the time of the 2009 elections. The only change since then has been the flip flop of Jumblatt and his bloc from M14 to M8, but even FPM admit he is really still part of M14.
when aoun labels an official body of the state as an armed gang do you think he is respecting the state of lebanon? as a responsible politician which apparently he is not , he should find a more diplomatic formula to say he disagrees with the ISF! but he sets a bad example to his followers by letting them think that if they disobey the ISF there is no problem as they are a gang and not part of the state!
when the french president has only 20% of popularity do you think the opposition blocks the state to demand his resignation like M8 did when they camped downtown? no, because they wait for the next elections to make him fall! that is democracy...
it is obvious M8 is against a strong state in lebanon to keep the hezb doing what pleases them , otherwise they would follow the rules and respect the state and its institutions whoever leads it!
I'm willing to contribute towards those three billion. Let's start a public campaign to gather funds to make sure that the crazies and the mullahs stay out of power.
"The sit in in downtown pre-2008 was peaceful and fully democratic"
the only problem is that they blocked the parliament and stopped it from functionning and doing its work... if that is democracy to you?...
besides in france a president is elected for a term, and people accept it, but M8 didn t accept M14 for finishing its term till 2009 and doing its job by closing the parliament! now they complain that they did nothing, easy and populist isn t it!
anyway they are still complaining even if they have the full power!
it looks to me like we or us all of us on here do not live in Lebanon. We just read the news and suffer and wish we can do things so we can go back to our beloved Lebanon. We are not alone my friends . Thousands of Lebanese think the same way we do. We all want to go back and live in our mother land.
We left because we wanted to be free. Now that we know what real freedom and respect to humanity is we see how our people are living in our mother land. Our hands are knotted and all we do is suffer by reading the Gross news coming from Lebanon. All the lies and injustice , corruption and so on . its Hell on earth . All we can do is pray my friends . Prayers work.
mowaten just count how many years M8 let the gvt work as a normal gvt...
hezb resigned forbidding any chia to replace the ministers who have resigned (fatwa from the hezb remember?) (but oh! irony continued to go to their offices!) so the gvt only expedite current affairs then the carnival on martyr s square (during which the parliament didn t work for a year and a half),
so tell me how much time did you let them to work and make any reforms necessary to the country?.....
Mowaten, you have a selective memory. After the 2005 elections, Hezbollah continued their killing spree of M14 politicians (allegedly). Then in 2006, Hezbollah started the war with Israel with their cross border raid to capture Israeli corpses and trade for baby killer Kuntar.
When the government was about to approve the STL, Hezbollah resigned all their aligned ministers to try to bring down the government. They killed Pierre Gemayel to try to stop the Cabinet from reaching a quorem (still one short).
Your partner in crime Bashar promised to break Lebanon if Lahoud wasn't approved as president. Remember all the forest fires and bombs? Remember Nahr al Bared?
What about the "sit-in" in downtown Beirut?
Do you know that the Constitution requires the MAJORITY in Parliament to select the President? Your ally Berri shut down Parliament for 18 months because he wanted to prevent the Majority from it's constitutional rights. (can't remember exactly how long Parliament was closed)
Suleiman was imposed on the M14 majority, he was not the choice of M14.
What about May7? Have you forgotten about that? The Prime Minister and Cabinet were not allowed to shut down Hezbollah's Terrorist telephone network? The Government wasn't allowed to name the head of security at the airport? But you say M8 was not obstructing the government?
What about the Doha Accord? The M14 government was forced to accept giving Veto Power to M8. This is not provided for in the Constitution, yet the hegemony of militia arms imposed it on the government.
Then in 2009, M14 won the majority of seats in Parliament, as you have admitted yourself. And yet the M8 thugs still used the precedent of May 7 events and Doha to impose an effective blocking third with their 10 ministers plus the Shiite minister from Suleiman's bloc, and used that to bring down the last government.
M14 won the last 2 elections, but couldn't name their President, couldn't name their speaker of Parliament, and M8 had Veto
