Not as simple as you say. The overwhelming majority of these refugees are anti Assad despite the trolls like mowaten and co. claims to the contrary. If these refugees go back to Syria under the Assad regime they will be persecuted, jailed and tortured. Lebanon is bound by the Geneva conventions regarding persons of 'refugee status' and cannot and shall not sent people back if they have reasonable doubt they will be persecuted in their country for their political or religious beliefs.

The Syrian refugee problem is here to stay I am afraid. We will be talking about it in another 50 years much like we do about the Palestinian refugees unless a real regime change takes place in Syria. At the moment this seems unlikely.

The talk about coordinating with the regime is an attempt by Hezbollah to spend some of what it believes are its 'victories' in Syria in the Lebanese political arena.
