وقع رئيس الجمهورية ميشال عون مرسوما لتجنيس العشرات من الشخصيات، بينهم رجال أعمال سوريون.
الا أن ونقلا عن صحيفة "الشرق الاوسط" إن هذه الخطوة لاقت حركة اعتراض سياسي وإعلامي واسع، إذ يرى معارضوها أنها تصب في خانة "التوطين"، فيما يرى مؤيدوها أنها "طبيعية ومحدودة التأثير".
وقال وزير لبناني رفض الكشف عن اسمه إن المرسوم تضمن أسماء رجال أعمال سوريين وفلسطينيين سوريين وغربيين وخليجيين، مشيرا إلى أن السلطات اللبنانية نظرت في طلبات فردية، وأخرى جماعية لرجال أعمال يعانون من مشاكل وعقبات في أعمالهم.
وكشف الوزير للصحيفة أن الدفعة الأكبر من الأسماء أتت من المؤسسة المارونية للانتشار التي لا يمكن المزايدة على مواقفها، مسيحيا، موضحا أن 10 سوريين فقط شملهم هذا التدبير.
ويعطي المرسوم الجنسية لنحو 300 شخص معظمهم من جنسيات سورية وفلسطينية وعراقية وأردنية ويمنية وتونسية ومصرية وسعودية وألمانية وفرنسية وبريطانية وإيرانية وتشيلية وأميركية وهندية، وعدد من مكتومي القيد.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء المركزية عن مصادر مواكبة إلى أن المجنسين الجدد يتوزعون بين رجال أعمال قد يسهم تجنيسهم في تنشيط حركة الاقتصاد من خلال إنشاء استثمارات ستخلق فرص عمل للكثير من اللبنانيين، وآخرين يتحدرون من أصول لبنانية تعرقلت معاملاتهم لأسباب معينة إبان مرسوم التجنيس الأخير.

وعلم أن المرسوم تضمن حوالى عشرين اسماً وضعوا في خانة «المؤسسة المارونية للانتشار»، ومعظمهم من رجال الأعمال السوريين. ولدى محاولة مراجعة رئيس المؤسسة النائب نعمة أفرام، تبين أنه موجود خارج لبنان.

When the naturalization applies to pro FPM supporters, you don't hear Bassil talking about 'conspiracies' to change Lebanon's social fabric.

This is a PURE business deal: money for citizenship and guess whose pocket(s) the money went to?
None of those on the list live in Lebanon or have contributed to Lebanon. The French President granted an immigrant the French nationality for climbing the facade of a five story building like spiderman to save a child. Our president grants nationality to those who feed his and the FPM bank accounts.
