ذكرى اغتيال كمال جنبلاط ستكون "عادية وعفوية"

أكد بيان صادر عن مفوضية الإعلام في الحزب التقدمي الاشتراكي، أن إحياء الحزب لذكرى اغتيال كمال جنبلاط سيكون عادياً وعفوياً، وسيقتصر على وضع زهرة على ضريح جنبلاط الأب يوم الجمعة.
في حين نقلت صحيفة "اللواء" عن معلومات خاصة فإن رئيس الحزب النائب وليد جنبلاط يحضّر لاحتفال سيقام الجمعة في بعقلين، حيث سيكون هو نفسه أحد خطبائه الرئيسيين، إلى جانب النائب مروان حمادة.
وأشارت المعلومات أنه سيكون لجنبلاط موقف وصف بأنه تصعيدي من النظام السوري.
ويصادف الجمعة 16 آذار، الذكرى الـ35 لإغتيال كمال جنبلاط، أحد مؤسسي الحزب التقدمي الاشتراكي، وأحد الشخصيات اللبنانية المعروفة بدعمها للقضية الفلسطينية. اغتيل في آذار 1977، على طريق بعقلين - دير دوريت في كمين مسلح.
ويعتبر البعض اغتياله كان دفاعاً عن السلاح الفلسطيني وقد خلفه في زعامته ابنه النائب وليد جنبلاط.

the National Struggle Front..... I remember this was the front that brought all anti-Lebanese elements together to fight the army and dismember the Lebanese State. Liberating Palestine was more important than preserving Lebanon to them.
