عون: طلب داتا الإتصالات كاملة هو ابتزار ويريدون تخريب الوطن من أجلها

أعلن رئيس تكتل "التغيير والإصلاح" أن طلب 14 آذار لداتا الإتصالات كشرط من شروط المشاركة في الحوار هو "ابتزاز" معتبرا أن النية التي تكمن خلف ذلك هي "تخريب الوطن".
وقال عون بعد اجتماع التكتل عصر الجمعة "عندمت عدنا من الدوحة لم يقبل أحد أن يزيد "قشة" على موضوع الإستراتيجية الدفاعية في الحوار".
وكانت قد علقت 14 آذار مشاركتها في جلسة التي كانت مقررة اليوم الثلاثاء جراء "عدم الوضوح" في تسليم داتا الإتصالات إلى الأجهزة الأمنية للتحقيق في محاولة اغتيال عدد من قياداتها، الأمر الذي دفع رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان إلى 16 آب المقبل.
وتابع عون "عندما قلنا لهم في السابق لا يمكن أن تحل السلطة التشريعية محل التنفيذية والعكس وأنه عند مشكلة كبيرة نستفتي الشعب اللبناني كي نرى كيف يحل المجلس فقالوا لا تلمس بالدستور وكان كل شيء محرم إلا الإستراتيجية".
أما اليوم "سمعنا منهم اليوم أنهم يريدون "ALLData" والسلاح" قال عون مضيفا "الداتا الكاملة لا يمكن أن تعطى إذا كان المطلب غير قانوني ويمس خصوصيات الناس وكل مواطن عليه أن يعلم أنه لا يمكن أن يسجلوا مكالمته".
وأعلن رئيس التيار "الوطني الحر" أن "داتا الإتصالات ليست مزحة وهي لا تعطى إلا عند الجرائم أما غير ذلك فهذا ابتزاز وهم يريدون تخريب طاولة الحوار" خاتما "إذا كانوا يعتبرون أن الداتا لا تمس بأمن الوطن فإنهم يريدون تخريب هذا الوطن على ما أظن".

Telecom data is one of the most crucial element in privacy in all of the first world countries. Privacy is the most essential tool a citizen can have against government infringment in their personal lives. in the US, Canada, Britian, etc...telecom data is forbidden to be handed to security agencies unless they get court approved permits to only release specific info. Otherwise, the request for telcom data following an attempts assignation where the data contains information potentially as to the identity of the perpetrators is called a "criminal investigation". M14 is completely within it's right to wish to know if interlocutors at the "dialogue Table" have a not so secret desire to kill them.

FT, I don't agree with your statement. M14 wants all data THAT IS PERTINENT TO THE CASE to be handed over to the investigation. M14 has never asked for the indiscriminate submission of all data. What the government is making available is simply bits and pieces that lead to nowhere because the investigators cannot identify significant pattens of traffic. Besides, FT, Aoun just said it: he agrees to the hand over of more data only if a crime has been committed. This is an indirect admission that not enough data is being handed over on purpose, and it also means one of two things:
1. The General does not seem to be aware that attempted murder is a major felony.
