اعتصام لشباب من المجتمع المدني امام بلدية بيروت رفضا لاقرار الارثوذكسي

نفذت مجموعة شبابية من المجتمع المدني، وسط انتشار للقوى الامنية، اعتصاما، عصر اليوم، أمام بلدية بيروت في الوسط التجاري، حيث رفعت اللافتات المطالبة ب"العيش بكرامة" والمستنكرة للاقتراح الارثوذكسي.
وشارك في التجمع قطاع الشباب في "حركة التجدد الديموقراطي" وأمين سر الحركة الدكتور أنطوان حداد الذي شدد على أن "هذا القانون يعيدنا قرونا الى الوراء، ويسلب من المواطن اللبناني حقه في التصويت لمرشح من غير مذهبه".
من جهتها قالت الناشطة نادين معوض "فوجئنا بالقرار الذي صدر عن اللجان في مجلس النواب بالنسبة إلى قانون الانتخاب، ونعتبر كل الاقتراحات والنقاشات ساقطة، لا سيما انهم زادوا ستة نواب، وهم لا يستطيعون ان يدفعوا سلسلة الرتب والرواتب".
وتابعت معوض "لقد أقروا المشروع الارثوذكسي الذي يفرق بين المواطنين، لننتخب على أساسه كالغنم. نحن ضد هذا المشروع، ونطالب بدولة مدنية تستطيع أن تحقق طموحات كل اللبنانيين".
وقام المعتصمون بقطع الطريق امام البلدية.
من جهتها أصدرت الحملة المدنية للإصلاح الإنتخابي بيانا تحت عنوان "مشروع قانون اللقاء الأورثذكسي لن يمر" قائلة أن لبنان أدخل اليوم "في دائرة الخطر وبدأت أضواء التقسيم تلوح في الافق، بعدما عاش اللبنانيون خمسة عشر عاما من الاقتتال ضد مشاريع التقسيم والانعزال وللحفاظ على الوحدة والانفتاح".
وإذ وصفت المشروع بـ"المهزلة الكبرى" تابع بيان الحملة "وصلت وقاحة عدد من القوى السياسية الى حد الغاء مبدأ العيش المشترك والدولة الواحدة ومبادئ الشراكة الوطنية من أجل تأمين عدد من المقاعد النيابية الاضافية".
عليه أكدت أن "تمرير هذا القانون الى الهيئة العامة هو خطوة خطيرة وتؤثّر على استقرار لبنان وعلى سلمه الاهلي وانه في حال تم التصويت على هذا القانون في الهيئة العامة سيكون لجميع القوى المدنية والحزبية والنقابية الرافضة له تحركات تصعيدية منعا من الذهاب بالبلد نحو التقسيم او نحو حرب داخلية جديدة".
وخلصت مؤكدة أن "مشروع قانون اللقاء الاورثوذوكسي هو مشروع فتنوي يهدف الى تقويض سلطة النائب والمهام التي منحه ايّاها الدستور اللبناني ويؤثر في المدى القريب على تركيبة لبنان التي لطالما تغنّى بها العالم ويؤدي الى التفتت والذوبان والتشرذم".
وأقرت اللجان المشتركة الثلاثاء مشروع اللقاء الأرثوذكسي، في ظل انسحاب أعضاء كتلة "المستقبل" النيابية و "جبهة النضال الوطني" ومستقلو 14 آذار من الجلسة وذلك بعدما تم طرح المادة الثانية من المشروع للتصويت.
وينص المشروع على أن تنتخب كل طائفة نوابها مع لبنان دائرة واحدة وفق النظام النسبي، مع الإحتفاظ بالتمثيل المناطقي وانتخاب الأقليات المسيحية والمسلمة لنوابها.

Habbib FT- replace the words "shia" and "sunni" with "Lebanese" in your statement and see if it makes any sense. We need to let go of our fears and work as Lebanese for human rights and not shia/sunni/druze/christian/etc.. rights.
BTW- "these people" are not politicians. it's not their job submit any law. That's the elected officials' job. It is however their right to demand they be treated equally based on their humanity and not their religion.

But if the goal is to get ppl to let go of sectarianism u have to start somewhere. Institutionalizing it might not be a step forward. But again, that's if the goal is to end sectarianism. Partition is plan b I guess.

Mr. Phoenician. Who is the coward? The person that accepts sectarianism because it's been around for 1400 years or the person who stands against it because he believes it's 300 years overdue?

By the same token, no one who opposes any law that one disagrees with deserves the low level language that you keep spouting. For Christ's sake grow up man.

this stupid laws only means that MPs are working to defend the interests of their own sect and not the interests of lebanese...
better partition this country then in christian zones chia zones druze zones and so on and let each incompetent sect leader rule their zone!
if a christian wants to vote for a sunni or a chia his RIGHT IS DENIED! he will be forced to vote only for a christian....and they call that democracy? LOL!!!
the politicians should set the example and change things! they should be the progressive ones and work for secularism even against the will of the citizens if they are truly visionaires! but what do we have? middle aged politicians working for themselves only...
secularism is in the taef agreement but none seem to have read it in 30 years...
