وزير الخارجية الأميركة: لإجراء انتخابات لبنان بموعدها وحل الخلافات سلميا

دعا جون كيري جميع الأفرقاء في لبنان إلى نبذ استخدام العنف وحل خلافاتهم سلميا وعبر صناديق الاقتراع بما يتفق مع الدستور اللبناني.
كما حث كيري في بيان بمناسبة الذكرى الثامنة لثورة الأرز الخميس "لبنان وقادته على الوفاء بالتزاماتهم في العملية الديمقراطية واجراء الانتخابات النيابية في موعدها المحدد".
واكد ان بلاده "تؤيد شعب لبنان وتقدمه نحو لبنان سيد ومستقر ومستقل ومزدهر".
واشار كيري الى انه في الذكرى الثامنة لثورة الأرز، "حين نزل الشعب اللبناني إلى الشوارع للتظاهر سلميا وطالب بدولة ذات سيادة وديمقراطية خالية من التدخل الأجنبي والدعوة إلى الحقيقة وراء اغتيال رئيس الحكومة الراحل رفيق الحريري ورفاقه 22 آخرين، لا زال الشعب اللبناني يواجه تحديات فيما يعمل على ضمان وجود دولة مستقرة وذات سيادة، ومستقلة توحد جميع اللبنانيين".
وولدت الإنتفاضة الشعبية لـ14 آذار عقب اغتيال رئيس الحكومة السابق رفيق الحريري الإثنين 14 شباط 2005.

America should stay out of other countries around the world. It is pathetic to see that he thinks he can say that about Lebanon like he is Lebanon's leader. It is clear though that it is just another threat at its core. But when America starts intervening they keep it a secret like always. Then the truth comes out years later and no one cares. America should stop being so militaristic.

One thing I learned from the film now running on the Al Jazeera website about Syria and Lebanon is that Syria had no motive to kill papa Hariri, since he'd already quit as prime minister.
I think the US policy toward the rest of the planet is the assumption that they're all stupid. Of course their dictators try their best to be as stupid as they can.

I wonder if you also "learned" that Hariri Sr previously quit twice as PM and that he was reelected and that on February 14 2005 we were a few month away from an election that the forces close to Assad were going to be trounced in bringing him back to the premiership with an even bigger majority?

Dear Mr. Kerry. I hope that the congress finish its discussions about the fiscal cliff. I also urge you to stop the whistleblower system concerning the american tax evasion in swizerland, it is undemocratic.
