Silly reasons... you are so right ... oh holly man ... not being able to manage the government cause the ministers are idiots who refuse to abide by orders is a silly reason ... having their own agenda to cripple the country is a silly reason ... you ya runaway general are a silly man
I couldn't stoplaughing when he mentions that one should run to anembassy!!!! is he for real???
What Miqati has done isbrave ... yet late ... now the idiots will get to have an excuse for the failure of the government and their ministers ... wake up FT ... time to talk about the 3g/4g mobile that never works ... the electricity reforms that went to the highest briber
this clown thinks he is Gods gift to the Lebanese, but the opposite is true ,,he is a very destructive demented fool
listen idiot ,the truth hurts ,go cry to your mama...as i can't be bothered with scumbags like you
its your kind that are killers with out us there would have been no lebanon ,it would have become the new Palestine.
a traitor and a deserter who should be tried for treason for leaving his men to be slaughtered by the Syrians.and you call yourself Lebanese by supporting him ..you are a poor excuse for a human been ...looks like my point is been made and getting you upset..you should see the smile on my face you lowlife.
Aoun had better look around ... There is a banking crisis headed right for Lebanon thanks to Christine Legards' ham handed treatment of Cyprus. Small countries like Lebanon are going to get hit and may need the IMF.
Miqati can see the hand writing on the wall: World crisis straight ahead! Lebanon's next leader had better be able to walk on water while juggling sectarian violence, a banking crisis and idiot politicians.
True, so how can we defend Governments that got us to that cliff. Present situations are the result of past decisions made by our perpetual politicians. Bring in new and young minds, expatriate executive of corporations abroad to steer us out of such dark tunnel. Embrace the enlightened and shun the warlords.
i am sure this was the last M8 government,it must have been the worst government in the history of Lebanon.
No, the worst governments were those that allowed Rafik Hariri to loot Lebanon. Hariri saw with the public debt rising from $2.5 billion to over $40 billion and economic growth slowing from 8% to –1% during his time as prime minister.
the dept was used to rebuild Lebanon, and the rest was looted by the Syrians.no proof Harir looted anything
@ maroun
Yet Rafik's wealth grew from less than $1 billion when he was appointed prime minister in 1992, to over $16 billion when he died.
Oh! ... and ask the people who dealt with Solidere how they did with Hariri's company ...
you are so wrong ..you could always research his company's capitulations as they were listed on stock exchanges ..also his will when he died and it was much less then $16 billions.
Aoun and Hizbollah are poison to Lebanon. Hizbollah happily sacrifices Lebanon's freedom, democracy and economy for Iranian regional interests. Aoun, like Kaddafi, will happily destroy Lebanon and sacrifice Christians interests as long as Hizb promised to make him president. His party is mafia corrupt organization par excellence. In any civilized country, his influence meddling and nepotism would have put him in jail long ago. Unbelievable anyone with half a brain would support these poisonous snakes sacrificing everything good about Lebanon so we ends up looking more and more like Iranian Basij, North Korean authocrats or Somalian economy; instead of being the regional headquarter for international firms and the shining beacon leading Arab Spring to real freedom and transparent democracy.
Gebran your argument is a tad extremist for Aoun, his party is well intentionned, but incompetent. However u have a point in what regards HA.
Karim, I agree that M14 lost their legitimacy and their vision.
However why do u tag each person who doesnt like HA as qaeda?
How can we have a dialogue in our country if noone sees shades of gray?
are u joking or are you genuinely stupid? This not what GMA wants. All GMA wants is to preserve the rights of the Xtians.
Waw Ft, i am sorry you had to take it so personally. I really thought you were smarter than this but Aoun must be a father figure to you and you must have been abused in your younger age... Sorry again hopefully you will get over it eventually!
Rox. You think that by repeating curses you learned from daytime TV and lines from your Disney collection you gain countenance?
Surprising to see you this upset FT. It's becoming more difficult for you to defend your allegiances day by day. I'm starting to wonder if you re on the FPM payroll.
I have found a nice video which explains our real problem in Lebanon please watch it !!!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZePvzCjTr4
Sarepta ............. I may not agree 100%, but close to that. Awesome review and overview of how Lebanon turned into its current state of misery. II bookmarked the URL site to show it to others in the future. Thanks for taking the time to find such a thoughtful narrative of a video. It baffles me why you got thumbs down, but again it baffles me why Lebanon is in such a state. You got thumbs up from me I wish I could give more but I do not have multiple accounts :>). Lets keep the hope and maybe, just maybe our people will experience the awakening needed.
Suleiman employed his authority against his sect” when he rejected the Orthodox Gathering electoral law, he noted...........
It is not the job of the President to represent or protect his sect or do what is best for his sect. It is the responsibility and duty of the President (and every public official) to represent, protect and do what is best for ALL Citizens of the Republic. Strange coming out from, the mouth of the head of what is supposed to be "CHANGE and REFORM" bloc.
Ya jame3a stop being stuck in the past. Please! Both Aoun and Geagea screwed up back then! The very fact that the LF and Aoun fought and dealt an almost fatal blow to the Christians was a massive mistake. Now both camps, LF and Tayyar must find common ground! United we stand, divided we fall. Please, let's cooperate for the sake of the handful of Christians that are left in the country!!
Ya Greenie please hear me out. I know too well what the Syrians did to our people and our towns and villages. I'm a veteran of the LF. I fought the Syrians on several fronts. Forgetting what the Syrians did is an insult to all the people who died on their hands. But remembering does not mean hating forever. It means learning from what happened so that it never happens again it also means bringing the Baath to justice one way or the other. The Syrians are our neighbors and we should work to make sure that we can live in peace with them and prosper together. The same goes for Israel, as far as I'm concerned. Yes, Aoun made huge mistakes. But so did Samir and when he went to Syria, I just wanted to put a gun to my head. Our respective political leaders failed us, all of us. But we have the leaders that we have. So either we work to replace them, or we contribute to bringing the Christian parties to agree on a set of common denominators. Beyond that it is perfectly OK to disagree.
Well Phoenix this is why we have to do what we can to keep the exchange as civil as possible.
ya habibi can you tell us more about M14 wahabism. You use this accusation constantly. Please enlighten us about wahabism practices that exist among M14.
Aoun being Aoun--complaining about everything. I wouldn't know of anyone who would put up with Aoun's crap and complaints as well as cleaning up after his foreign policy faux pas.
Aoun=Grandpa Simpson--all rambling, all complaining all the time.
The moderates, the thinkers, the patriots will and must prevail at the end. Extremism and country hijackers will and must be defeated. I appreciate your comments the1phoenix.
What is "Lebanon's Democracy?" I'm rather confused, because your 'man' seems to call for it, and it is NEVER defined. I don't think this part of the world is even ready for 'democracy.' It is going to take 'generations' for even real democracy to see the light, if it will ever exist. And finally, your probably so confused on what a 'democracy' is...that not only is American 'based' upon democratic ideals - it is the ONLY REPUBLIC in the world. This is what I mean..you guys don't even know what you are talking about when it comes to governments.
